    Salido vs. Mayweather

I see people bringing this up all the time (especially a few specific posters), so let's get an idea here of how many people feel Floyd Mayweather would beat Salido in his 2nd pro fight. This is a perfect example because Floyd started fighting at 130 so Salido would be in his weight class.

So picture this, Floyd coming in at 130 limit in his 2nd fight against Salido. Salido doesn't make weight and comes in bigger as a 50 pro fight veteran, uses dirty tactics throughout the fight. Would Floyd, KO Salido, win the fight convincingly by points, win a close fight, lose a close fight, lose a wide decision, or get KOed.

Also if Floyd did lose this fight would you hold it against him?

Mayweather was 18 years old in his 2nd pro fight. Lomachenko was 26

Mayweather at 26 would completely dominate and stop salido

yep, yep USA is the best we all know that

of course, it matters, but what was Loma's experience in the pros before fighting Salido? The same people who talk about Loma's experience and age love to **** on his amateur pedigree.

Either way even if Floyd was 26 years old I don't see him winning against Salido in his 2nd pro fight. On top of that Floyd boxed from a much younger age than Lomachenko

Oh and just for the record, not dis*****g that Floyd isn't ATG, he did his time and had his accomplishments, just pointing out that no matter the age, Salido is pretty much a tall order to ask from anyone as their 2nd fight.

He was 25, had almost 400 amateur fights and 6 "quasi" (no headgear but called amateur) pro fights in the WSBB series. You can't just leave this out of the equation.

Can't we just admit that Loma looked great but that any comparisons to Floyd regarding "# of fights to win world titles" is invalid because of age and experience?

Put it this way-If we asked who was better based on age of 1st world title or does loma have a performance at 24 that was better than Floyd he'd lose everytime for the same reason-age.

There is this fascination with some of you guys comparing him to Floyd. You guys have spent 10 years downplaying every single win Floyd has, every single accomplishment yet now are elevating them so you can make Loma look better.

Come on dude. Isn't there any other way for some of you to judge Loma without using Floyd to do it?

As to this thread: 19 year old floyd that had his 2nd pro fight wouldn't beat Salido. 25 year old Floyd, the age of Loma's 2nd pro fight, would embarrass him.

On the other side, 19 year old Loma would Lose to Salido far worse than 25 year old Loma did.
