I thought this was good last minute matchmaking when the fight was announced. I didn't realise that Munguia was that much bigger though, this was a complete physical mismatch. Ali did his best, fought with guts and even had the odd moment but it was a David and Goliath fight, Munguia might as well have been Godzilla in there. I don't know if he was "sold out" per se but Ali's promoters have a lot to answer for - I admit that I didn't foresee this being such a mismatch but I'm not in that kind of business, Ali's team are. That was the kind of fight where a guy can get majorly damaged and I feel like Ali might have been spared that by the referee (and not the useless ringside doctor.)

Ali was always going to lose his first title defence. I don't see it.

            Mungia was in 170 pounds

            Ali in 169 pounds.

            Period.

This "sellout" stuff does not wash with me. I see it more as not protecting him. Champions though should not be protected. Tonight we saw a small jr middle fight a very large one. What can I say, when you are young you can dehydrate like crazy LOL

That kid is not done growing yet. In another year or two he will be a large super middle

It was a short notice fight, but set up idk cause it’s Ali’s fault for not knowing what he’s getting into.

This matchup smelled funny as f#ck to me, but yea idk about a setup.

Ali ain't THAT f#cking good anyway first off. You need a setup to have insured he WON his first defense lmfao.
