Ok I went to the bookies and was going to put £1000 on Munguia at 15/8, I chickened out because of an article on boxingnews about how awful Munguia is, Am kicking myself this morning.

That's his promoters job. Maybe Golden Boy dropped the ball.

I really think it's also a bad matchmaking by GBP mainly due to the boxers big difference in size.

Munguia will be signed shortly because that was the “ plan “ all along.

Golden Boy aren't smart enough to set that up. They can't even take Berchelt from Zanfer, we'll see about Munguia.

Golden Boy have options on Munguia and have really high hopes for him, and so they fed one of their weaker champions they knew would lose eventually to an in house fighter, instead of seeing him drop the title to a PBC or Top Rank fighter. So yes this was a setup and a good business decision by Oscar De La Hoya and Eric Gomez.

Everybody at 154lbs wanted a piece of Ali, and there was a reason for that, but how many people will want a piece of Munguia? I can guarantee..... not quite as many.
