No, he shouldn't overpay All Star Boxing, but for all the money in this deal for Eddie Hearn, he's not the only one walking into the room with money and he's not walking in with any relationships to grease anything:
-Showtime/CBS is sitting with money; they'll put on their 20 or so Showtime Championship Boxing cards, and they'll get the pick of the talent under Haymon's umbrella.
-PBC is likely sitting with money (confirmation of deals and all that in due time); BounceTV will get their 4 shows, FOX will get their 4 shows (name vet vs name vet in a crossroads fight will likely become the staple, with competitive contender fights under that).
-HBO is sitting with money behind the Canelo Show; they don't care about much, but notice the investment made in fighters at 160lbs.
-ESPN basically bought Top Rank for a little bit (I doubt that the money was anything crazy, but Bob Arum is on his last bridge, and is a cranky old fart who will grumble for every dollar that he'd get for having to follow someone else's plan).
The lure isn't as strong as you think, imo; most Showtime cards already have total fire payouts approaching $3m anyway.
