He does not have the talent to put on 16 cards that will matter, he will have the money, he will have the TV time, but he won't have any fighters Americans care about, and that includes AJ, who registers piss poor numbers on Showtime.
This deal is a big nothing, doubt the agreement sees year 3

And cord cutters are gonna love a all sports channel that streams for $20 I would think.
Plus I still contend the real value in streaming is barely being touched upon yet from the things I've seen. Streaming will allow customization of the viewing experience for live sports on a level we've never seen before. Streaming will ultimately revolutionize what the viewing of a game, fight or what have you looks like.

Also, although it's a new market for Hearn, if you look at Matchrooms track record in sports and deals, they are pretty much always successful. They're not just in the boxing game, they have a big stake in Darts, Snooker, European PGA golf etc. . It isn't just Eddie Hearn, they have some very smart business men behind the scenes, including his old man.
As i say, it's a new and different market but their track record with sports and TV deals show that they know what they're doing. No reason to believe it won't be a success.

Americans only want the BEST, they don't want inferior quality. Thats why the XFL never worked because Americans knew it wasn't up to the quality of NFL.
Brands like HBO are built via quality programming and loyalty to the brand.
The American market is an absolute monster to get a piece of the pie in and many companies have spent Billions trying and failing to do that.
DAZN won't be around in the American Market for longer then 24 months...i'd be surprised if they last longer then 12 months before they abandon it and go back to the Markets they know.
Having said that, if they are smart enough they will pick up US customers along the way, after all, Tidal is home grown, Apple Music home grown and yet Spotify has more users in the US, so its possible DAZN could pick up a following, but less likely I think.

Other than mayweather(there won't be another) the biggest purses, the highest earners, the biggest crowds have been heavyweight boxing that can be sold to the US market.
Aj & Hearn claim to want all the belts.
The admit they overpaid to get the belts they have. Charles Martin, Joseph Parker.. who were these guys? Real threats?
Klitschko..who'd been inactive & beaten in his last fight..hardly threw a punch & looked beatable.
Now there's wilder. The final piece that they claim to want.
Suddenly they don't want to overpay.
There's no denying wilder is the most dangerous fight for aj..he poses a bigger threat than any of the other 3 guys they "overpaid" I think the word they meant was "bought".
They've created aj for the casuals..selling him against overmatched fighters. They took a calculated risk with klit...they won't do it with wilder.
Wilder will ko aj....once that happens wilder will be the new Tyson...Mike Tyson, that's how he'll sell
The only other threat will be Fury...Hearn won't put aj in with either unless they sign
A heavyweight paper champ will sell more than 3 lower weight classes together
Wilder with all the belts will earn more than all the fighters you mentioned combined. It's heavyweight boxing
