I really don't see how having yet another pay-service, in addition to the aforementioned packages, is going to do anything but add further confusion to the market and result in a bunch of fights going unwatched.
I agree. I love boxing but there is a limit to the money I'll drop on it.

Whether you like Hearn or not..US fans should be loving this.

A promoter known to put on live crowd pleasing events, with the backing of a massive wod of cash, offering you the opportunity to have 16 shows, with all the provisions to have some of those as PPV and/or noteworthy quality.

You can have all of this, all 16 shows for the price of 4 PPV shows at your current rates.. with the option to just buy the service as and when a fight you wana see is on and then cancel it or not bother with it when there isnt something to your liking?

And some in here are STILL being negative towards it..

      " i dont see how it'll work"
      " they wont compete with x or y "

no.. it wont and no they wont, if the above continues because fans like you preaching the above will gladly sit and pay exorbitant prices for what you know, even though its a ****ing rip-off.

We're a few years off streaming being the only way to watch live sports

It will need virtual reality to catch up..that's when it'll peak.
Ringside at msg...Vegas, centre court at tennis

Once the tech's there it'll be amazing...lot of these early guys will be long gone by then though

First, you have a British guy who no one here gives a **** about offering yet ANOTHER ****ing monthly paid streaming site that we didn't ask for or even heard of, in a sport that we really don't watch much of. He didn't name ONE SINGLE top fighter signing, not ONE single big match. It sounds cool. Hearn will probably make bank but he didn't take ****. This actually his disater written all over it. I personally love boxing but here, we don't all rush to watch free boxing do you think we are going to pay for DAZN?
Ignore most of the people commentating here.

Boxing is already a niche sport in America and already has HBO, SHOWTIME, ESPN, Fox and other broadcastors showing Boxing...flooding the market with more Boxing isn't the way to go.

Anthony Joshua means nothing in America and there's no Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pac around.

The other stars like Canelo, GGG and Lomo are all signed with other Promoters so guys like Charlos, Broner, Spence and Thurman just don't cut it.

Your name doesnt really sit with that comment... how is a company thats been around since 2007, and thre subsidiary of which is currently holding market share on sports media in most of its domain countries, as mentioned in the press conference, going to go bankrupt within a year ??

Do they think they only have one bil in the bank and just gave it all to hearn? lol

Youtube? what planet are you living on? since when did google ( the guys that own YT ).. pay anyone one billion for the rights to show anything at all?

Fighting once a year... their stock falling for ever decreasing paydays.

The days of the PBC overpaying for absolute **** to protect belts but fail to promote their holders properly are over. The days of selling off lighting and rigging equipment to protect costs are over.

The days of asking world champions to relinquish their belts like peter quillin are over.

Not excatly but, us Hearn Naysayers will tell you that, you Brits can happily give Hearn all your pounds, or quid, or krumpets, and blood pudding pie if you want. But if you think that you are gonna recoup a billion waiting for Americans to pay for Another streaming service from a British dude with no major stable. You are definitely drugged out. And what's with you anyway? Hearn isn't putting money in your pocket. Why are you excited about his money? You Brits are doing back flips and high fiving each other like Hearn annouced a major fight and is paying you or something. Hooray! Jacobs MOra 5 on DAZN.

Hearn cracks me up. By far the most entertaining promoter in the game because he's not an idiot like Bob and company, and he's actually pretty funny.

You're the only person actually asking an intelligent question.

I've worked in the Media since 2002 and i can guarantee you that this is going to be a complete and utter Flop of massive proportions.

It also won't last longer then 24 months at the most and is not worth even close to the 1 Billion thats been reported but the ****** ignorant idiots on this site lap it up like the idiots who lap up the same BS from that other liar Trump.

DAZN isn't going to get enough people to subscribe with the likes of Spence, Charlo brothers, Wilder, Broner and Thurman...No one cares about them.

Dazn is going to produce complete rubbish tv programs that no one is going to care about and the whole thing is going to be a big bust.

This isn't some speculative opinion...i know it won't work.

Oh and its not 1 Billion you idiots who believe that!
Depends whether this ends up being Spotify or Tidal for sports. It’s long overdue and whether you think this service or another will make it depends a lot on how they execute, but one things for sure, the space is ripe for disruption.

They are smart because they are noticing the trend toward self promotion. Much like music the big powerhouses owning talent is ending. The future is talent getting lightweight management support and access to distribution with a gain share on the back end.

I lived in HK, China, Japan, Australia...do you know how hard it is to watch a big fight if you’re not on a cable service? Impossible, can’t even listen on the radio. That’s literally a market of billions right there untapped.

Being a doom sayer won’t hold back progress.
