Oscar de la Hoya literally had one fight before Hopkins to Felix Sturm at middleweight, in a fight he received a controversial win. This is the same Felix Sturm that struggled/robbed/lost/whatever, to Martin Murray, Matthew Macklin, and Daniel Geale... and we saw Golovkin completely destroyed all three men. Hell, he had a far more dominating win over Murray than George Groves did (a bigger and solid fighter), and that's AFTER Murray got the piss beat out of him and moved up in weight.

Oscar was a great fighter, and very talented, but he was no real middleweight. Felix is arguable, but he went to middleweight at the end of his career, and we all saw that besides Joppy he was done. That's literally his only fight at middleweight.

John David Jackson, lol. He wasn't a bad fighter, but he definitely wasn't great. Same for Glen. Lemieux 2.0's.

Jacobs would have beaten everyone on that list except maybe Trinidad (which we'll never know for sure). That's what we're talking about, here. P4P, Oscar and Trinidad were both better than anything Golovkin fought, true, but we're talking about his record at middleweight here. Neither man was a middleweight, and neither fought Hopkins in their prime weight class...

He's been smoking the same stuff his fans smoke. What a moron.
Golovkin has got you shook, Bhop is a bum cherry picker who got schooled by nobodies
Godlovkin is now the king of boxing.

When you study Bhops 160 career you realize how weak it really is
Two losses to above average Jermain Taylor
A win against a small welterweight who jumped to 160 Oscar DeLa Hoya
          Loss to Roy Jones Jr

When you look at it Bhop has a terrible 160 record his resume is ass, he is only best known for being a Gramps fighter who carried on for longer than he should have.
Outside of the MW career he has a lot of embarrassing losses as well

          Suck it up Bturd fanboys.

This. BHop has had a far greater CAREER than GGG. BHop is also just plain and simple a much better fighter than GGG.

HOWEVER their runs at 160 are comparable. Hopkins 160 run was long but otherwise was meh. The only fights people even talk about are his wins vs Trinidad and De La Hoya. Had Cotto fought GGG when he had the belt, it would have been about the same thing (and people would not have cared)

              yeah for sure...A HELLUVA WIN.

Bernard fought one elite natural MW himself, Taylor and lost twice.

Both Bernard and GGG fought in sht MW eras...

Bernard cemented is legacy when he moved up with the Tarver, Pavlik, Cloud, Pascal streak.

Regarding GGG he better pack a bunch of nice win/moving up like Nard before retiring or he will end with a record a class under Calzaghe's who at the end of the day had himself a protected record.
I didn't say it was a great win Billy bigot. I said you would have a hard time finding a better win on Golovkin's resume. Feel free to try.

                C'mon give it a break.

                I kinda agree with you.

I think only Jacobs might be a better win, then Murray or Macklin guys, it would be debatable.

It tells a lot about both middleweight runs.

Bernard Hopkins had all the belts and was a unified champion. ggg doesn't have the WBO or The Ring.

Opponent quality aside, we can all agree that Hopkins fought everyone that was available at the time. If you consider his fights crap, fine, but the man fought everyone and that's why he took the fights. GGG, however, is fighting Vanes Martyrosian. That's right and on 5 de mayo. What a disgrace.

GGG beat every top opponent he has faced so far, he beat Canelo which is a better win than anything on Bturds resume.
Then his Jacob win another win better than anything on Bflops

Losing to J.Taylor twice in a row doesn't really do much for your record, that and fighting in 160 when it was at its weakest state.
If Bhop fought the real winner of Dela Hoya Vs. Sturm (It was Sturm that won) maybe, just maybe Hopkins would have lost again which is something that likely would have happened.
