I'm a Golovkin fan, but I cannot agree with his statement about BHop. If you have to argue about how great your career and record are, that is a problem.

Not a big GGG fan, but he has the defenses to bolster his confidence, but the greats have fights on their resume that they were the under dog - I do not see any fights on GGG's resume where he was the under dog - Hopkins has the great Felix Trinidad and you have to understand that 154 and 160 is where Welterweights land - almost all Welterweights that began at 147 end up at 160 ....Comment

As a middleweight he can though. Hopkins middleweight resume isnt great either. I dont see Golovkin talking about anything other than 160, so why are you?Comment

John David Jackson and Glen Johnson were Middleweight title defenses! Felix and Oscar were Middleweight title fights! Those 4 were better than everybody GGG beat!Comment

tainted beef?“I feel like a star, like a star because, just if you check Bernard’s opponents probably you understand that my record is much bigger, is much stronger, bigger,” Golovkin said. “This is a good situation for me and for my career and for my fans, of course. That’s it.”
He's been smoking the same stuff his fans smoke. What a moron.Comment

So why bring up anything beyond that? Because you felt Hopkins was threatened. Felix and Oscar are not great middleweight wins. Everyone beats Glen Johnson. Nobody cares about Jackson. But tell me more about fighting Echols and Allen five times.Comment
