Who is Canelo fighting on Cinco De Mayo?
His drug addiction, his gingerness, his cowardice ducking, fighting Dela Hoya off him?

      Really, I'd love to know

Post #215! Go check again! Those were the 4 I mentioned. I didn't mention anyone else! See your consciousness is already defending something which wasn't mentioned, i.e., B-Hop's entire career! If you think David Lemieux, or Curtis Stevens would've beat Felix or Oscar for a Middleweight title, so be it!

The whole point of having the privilege of fighting on cinco de mayo is fighting for glory. Not for a lame payday against a balding inactive junior middleweight. Like someone here once said, they should have just scrapped the whole card and reschedule against a good opponent.

First off Bflop never fought Hopkins, secondly the fight with Sturm and Oscar was a robbery we all knew they wanted that Hopkin fight with Oscar to still happen.
Felix likely would have beat Hopkins, Hopkins biggest name on his record is a win over a 46yo Roy Jones Jr.

He literally just had a card called "MEXICAN STYLE"

                  ...
John David Jackson and Glen Johnson were Middleweight title defenses! Felix and Oscar were Middleweight title fights! Those 4 were better than everybody GGG beat!
JDJ's best win was Reggie Johnson, in a very very very close fight.
Before fighting Hopkins, JDJ had a split decision loss to Abdullah Ramadan. Where he got dropped. He got dropped.
When Hopkins and JDJ fought, JDJ was 34.

                  Also who did JDJ beat?

Glen Johnson's best win was Sam Garr. Sam Garr. I guy who had not fought anyone with a positive record. And you think that guy is good?

This is the same Felix Sturm that struggled/robbed/lost/whatever, to Martin Murray, Matthew Macklin, and Daniel Geale... and we saw Golovkin completely destroyed all three men. Hell, he had a far more dominating win over Murray than George Groves did (a bigger and solid fighter), and that's AFTER Murray got the piss beat out of him and moved up in weight.

Oscar was a great fighter, and very talented, but he was no real middleweight. Felix is arguable, but he went to middleweight at the end of his career, and we all saw that besides Joppy he was done. That's literally his only fight at middleweight.

John David Jackson, lol. He wasn't a bad fighter, but he definitely wasn't great. Same for Glen. Lemieux 2.0's.

Jacobs would have beaten everyone on that list except maybe Trinidad (which we'll never know for sure). That's what we're talking about, here. P4P, Oscar and Trinidad were both better than anything Golovkin fought, true, but we're talking about his record at middleweight here. Neither man was a middleweight, and neither fought Hopkins in their prime weight class...
Oscar and Felix both attempted to weight-drain Hopkins below 160! Unlike GGG, Hopkins agreed to the catch-weights, and still got stoppages over both! You're to focused on their weights, and not their talents! Floyd beat SWWs, but he was no SWW! Pacquiao beat SWWs, but he was no SWW! SRL beat Hagler at MW, but he was no MW! Skills pay the bills! GGG went on a mission for Cotto and Canelo! He wouldn't come down for the challenge like Hopkins did, and when Canelo fought him @ 160, it was a draw! I love Danny Jacobs, but he's nowhere near ODLH and Trinidad! He just went 12 with Arias and Sulecki FFS! He had problems with Sergio Mora, for crying out loud! GGG's resume @ 160 is not as strong as Hopkins, and GGG's legacy as a fighter will not even be in the same realm as B-Hop! SHOW SOME RESPECT!

Easy to pull sales from them, just like Floyd catered to the casual racists.
