No they don't. That's ggg fans who said Canelo had to fight him at the MW limit.

Yeah, and apparantly that was wrong because Canelo, despite fighting above 154 multiple times and calling himsel the WBC and lineal MW champion, wasn't a "real" MW.

If you are going to say that, then you have to also say that those 2 catchweight defences by BHop against WWs were not "real" MW title fights, and shouldn't be included in his record breaking run.

The problem with GGG and Loma fans is that saying they are great fighters is not enough! You have to say GGG is better than Hageler and Hopkins, and that Lomachenko is better than Whitaker and Mayweather! If you disagree, then you're racist!

I guess his record is as good but then again I don't consider Hopkins a great fighter any way. He was a boxer/counter move counter punch style and that often times means BORING!
You can box and still be exciting ala Duran, Leonard, Hearns etc....

GGG is a good fighter who pressures using boxing skills but to refer to him as a "great fighter" is a joke. He's very good.

Actually the problem is, a person can say “GGG is a great fighter”. Then some butthurt asswipe will say, “ Hes not better than Hagler or Hopkins”. Why make the comparison in the first place?

The response should be "I never said he was better than Hagler!" The absolute worse response is "Yes he is!"

Don't be silly. Ward is on record regarding the catchweight. Cotto paid GGG so he could make a career high pay day against Canelo. This was AFTER Team Golovkin made it clear that they would not come down in weight to fight.
