Hopkins 2 biggest wins at MW were vs Tito and Oscar while GGG has Jacobs and Canelo as the 2 biggest names on his resume (we all know GGG deserved the win vs Canelo). While Tito and Oscar are both greater than Jacobs or GGG, Jacobs and GGG weren't at the size disadvantage that Tito and Oscar were since they were both true welterweights. So Jacobs and Canelo were bigger threats as middleweights. Otherwise, the rest of the opposition that Hopkins and GGG faced were mediocre.

i agree with GGG.If Gennady Golovkin beats Vanes Martirosyan on Saturday night, he'll tie Bernard Hopkins' middleweight record by making a 20th consecutive defense of one of his 160-pound titles. The potential tie notwithstanding, Golovkin thinks his reign is more impressive than Hopkins' 10-year run as a middleweight champion. The unbeaten Golovkin said during a conference call Monday that his record is "much stronger" than Hopkins' resume when the Philadelphia native was a middleweight champ.

You mean the Taylor who went on to go life and death and barely beat Ouma and Spinks(split decision) and then lost twice to Pavlik to Froch and Abraham while Taylor was IN HIS PRIME.
The two losses to Taylor and the draw to Mercado somehow mean nothing to the bhop lovers lolComment

He could've just acknowledge the record. Why did he have to compare the 2? Even if he did have a better record (which he does not) Bernard Hopkins was a much more tactical fighter. Golovkin's only option is seek and destroy. Jacobs and Canelo proved that you could give Golovkin major problems if you don't fight scared and vary your offensive and defensive output. After seeing him against Jacobs and Canelo I wouldn't favor him over Saunders or Charlo.Comment

He was 40 years old. 36 year old Hopkins beats the brakes off of 36 year old GGG like he did Tito and Echols. You match them up at any same age and Hopkins is the better fighter. You mean the Taylor who went on to go life and death and barely beat Ouma and Spinks(split decision) and then lost twice to Pavlik to Froch and Abraham while Taylor was IN HIS PRIME.

It'll be four year reign with 9 defences. Anyone counting IBO solo defences doesnt count. If Gennady Golovkin beats Vanes Martirosyan on Saturday night, he'll tie Bernard Hopkins' middleweight record by making a 20th consecutive defense of one of his 160-pound titles. It was a mandatory defence, you fukking idiot.
There's different perspectives and there's plain lies.
Here's the truth:
It's literally impossible for a champion to financially kill a mandatory defence.
GGG got the fight made by agreeing to give Jacobs more time to prepare and a bigger cut than he was entitled to as a mandatory challenger.
If you say I'm lying about either of those points, then provide links to prove it or go find another GGG thread to post your own lies in, because I'm smoking you out of this one.Comment

when you wrote that, were you aware that 3G hasnt beaten anyone on the level of Pavlik, froch or even Abe.You mean the Taylor who went on to go life and death and barely beat Ouma and Spinks(split decision) and then lost twice to Pavlik to Froch and Abraham while Taylor was IN HIS PRIME.

No we all dont no GGG won. I know a lot of ppl who agree with the draw. I can easily give both 6 rounds.Hopkins 2 biggest wins at MW were vs Tito and Oscar while GGG has Jacobs and Canelo as the 2 biggest names on his resume (we all know GGG deserved the win vs Canelo).
