Jacobs shouldn't pass up this opportunity. Chances are there's no guarantee that he'll ever see GGG in the ring again; Especially if he defeats Alvarez.

So the IBF has a #1 contender, a #3 contender....but no #2?
So, the IBF is one of the better organizations, but still finds ways to be ******. Pretty impressive.
I love me some Jacobs, but he did not look really great for the second straight fight. He won it, but I thought he allowed himself to be hit a lot more than he would have a few years ago. If he gets this fight, I really need to spend some time watching some Derevyanchenko fights on You Tube. I may be giving him an edge.

Jacobs is now mandated to fight for the WBA belt, after Derevyanchenko (IBF) and Charlo (WBC) get their shots [with Golovkin likely to vacate the IBF belt to get his Alvarez rematch, Jacobs is only behind Charlo].
Is blowing up your camp worth moving up your mandated title shot 8months to a year? (HBO being as tight with the money as they seem to be now would likely send Golovkin to the UK to fight Billy Joe Saunders, were he to try and stall things)
Golovkin won the interim WBA belt, was given the IBO and WBC belts, and was basically given a vacant IBF belt, and he's been cool with it.
How would fighting for a vacant belt, against his own camp member outshine fighting Golovkin (or Alvarez) for a full title?
