Is blowing up your camp worth moving up your mandated title shot 8months to a year? (HBO being as tight with the money as they seem to be now would likely send Golovkin to the UK to fight Billy Joe Saunders, were he to try and stall things)

Golovkin won the interim WBA belt, was given the IBO and WBC belts, and was basically given a vacant IBF belt, and he's been cool with it.

How would fighting for a vacant belt, against his own camp member outshine fighting Golovkin (or Alvarez) for a full title?
The camp issue obviously is a tough one, but if Danny were to back out that would result in Charlo getting to fight for the vacant IBF belt before year's end.

But I see what you're saying. Danny would moving into the number one spot for mandatories b/c if Charlo and SD fight for the IBF then Charlo would lose his WBC mandatory spot.

The IBF Title would be great. However lets not forget that Jacobs (against GGG) did not do the same day weigh in so lost the chance to fight for that title. However I do reckon Jacobs vs Devy would be a good close fight. Would I be wrong in saying that Jacobs would smoke BJS??

Look at the way the IBF has made their stance clear with the whole situation with GGG. Refuse to sanction the Vanes fight because he hasn't fought in 2 years and he is moving uo in weight. But they haven't strip him neither, Both the number 1 and number 3,4 ranked fighters know where they all stand, in terms of communication. Because IBF has made it known publicly, not just privately to the boxers or their promoters. Thats the way to communicate things.

It would be pirog vs Jacobs all over again... Jacobs doesn’t have the activity to slow down Derevyanchenko

Hearn set him up to look like a world beater in his last two fights and he looked like he was on that level. HBO and that biased crew can not fool people into wanting to see you in big fights if you cant perform. They need to put him in a 50/50 fight to force him to fight and stop being so lack luster.
I agree exactly!! It seems to me that Jacobs fights down to the level of his competition. That's why Mora knocked him down. He doesn't have that natural killer instinct all the time.
