Golovkin likes to stay active but that's just not realistic these days. This isn't the 1940's. If the fights Sergey in the summer he probably won't fight Canelo until next year. Naturally, Gaylordhoya will insist on a Cinco De Mayo date.

Derevianchenko is another easy fight, no experience, has fought no one, no fan base, does not bring money, people here talking sh.i.t that he is ducking that guy, who is not tested yet, heck no one here talked about Derevianchenko before the IBF issue, Golovkin should vacate the IBF belt, get the match against Clenelo, win that fight, then win back his IBF belt or fight BJS for his belt, either way he has good fights waiting for him, @ this stage and age he should take the most lucrative fights he can take, just like most boxers do on the way out, one of the best middleweights there has been, this is what happens when you are doing something good and are a successful @ it, people tend to criticize and talk SH.I.T about you, has happened to all the greats and it means you are on the right track, whats sad is that no one can beat GGG in the ring so the sanctioning bodies are trying to use tricks to strip him, they've done it before like with Hagler and Holmes by fixing their fights against Leonard and Spinks, it wont work this time because War Machine GGG is kicking A$$ and giving out receipts like a true champ. I didn't like his choice of Vanes but there are so many manditories there is no way he could meet all those obligations. So the hell with it, is probably what they were thinking. Just get this fight done and move on to Canelo in the fall.

who cares, this is the problem with all these belts, too many mandatories. if push comes to shove charlo and dereveyenchenko can have the belts, they are meaningless at this stage in GGGs career. He'll fight two better fighters in saunders and canelo for a hell of a lot more money.

I agree with you that belts are utterly meaningless and that he should fight whoever will pay him the most at this point in his career. Just be honest about it, that you are indeed a businessman.

the belts mean something to ggg as he wants to become undisputed champion. who says the title defense is meaningless? you have no room to attack another fighter when vagina davis is your avatar.

I think both Charlo and Derevyanchenko are overrated and not experienced. GGG would kill both of em in the same night.
Is there anybody out there that could beat GGG? That's what I want to know.
