Golovkin would be ****** to fight him without proper preparation. Andrade also has a reputation of talking and not backing it up so if he wanted to fight G he should have by now sent him a written offer detailing the purse split etc. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen

basically, it is hard luck for Golovkin..... because as you pointed out, this is not the first time..... in fact, Golovkin has made an art-form out of tip-toeing through the tulips and making silly excuses

he is the boy who cried wolf..... nobody believes him this time, and nobody should

ALWAYS taking the easy route, NEVER lifting a finger to make a meaningful fight..... just like now
It’s just part of the sport man

Every team and fighter does it try to maximize $ while minimizing risk

Again he just fought the 2 best MW available both prime while he on the back end of his career so he clearly is willing to fight the best and make meaningful fights

          completely disagree

they would never have fought Jacobs unless the WBA ordered that fight, and Canelo was his cash-out

Golovkin clearly wants nothing to do with Saunders, he has passed on that fight three times now..... and if Golovkin gets his way and fights Vanes now and then Canelo in September, then Saunders will have to wait another 12 months for Golovkin to take care of his mando Derevyanchenko

          Golovkin is well-aware of that

I think that Golovkin will fight a bum now, bank that Canelo money, and then retire without ever facing Saunders or Derevyanchenko..... let alone guys like Charlo/Andrade

he is well-aware that fighting a no-hoper now will kill a much better fight down the road

Well he didn’t try and get out of the Jacobs fight he was all for it at no worse then the 2-3 MW at the time so there goes your theory

I think a Saunders fight will happen next if Canelo gets a long suspension and isn’t available in Sept or if not and he beats Canelo then he’s the next guy in line

I’ll agree with you though by the time he’s finished with Canelo / Saunders if he wins his team won’t want that Charlo work and Andrade will most likely still be stuck in career purgatory

And if gets past Canelo / Saunders he’ll have his 2 $ fights and all the straps on his CV going on 37-38 his team won’t want that Charlo work and potentially end his career with a whimper

the very second that Billy-Joe Saunders said he would be available in June, they should have jumped on that fight..... that is an absolute no-brainer..... seriously, why would they not take that fight?..... I thought being undisputed was Golovkin's "dream"?

you said this..... "I agree he should have fought Lara instead of the Monroe’s and Wade"..... well, the first time that Saunders was mentioned, they offered him 1.5mil (with no counter-offer) and then ran off to fight Dominic Wade.....

..... Saunders then watched Kell Brook pocket 4-5mil

they did not try very hard to make that fight lol..... they split the pot more fairly with Hearn, because they actually wanted to fight Kell Brook..... they did what they needed to do to make that fight happen

the second time Saunders was mentioned, he signed to fight Golovkin in Kazakhstan, but Golovkin fought Canelo for the money..... which was understandable..... but still, that makes this the third time that they have shown very little interest in sweet-pea Saunders

now..... they want him to wait for another 18 months..... while they fight either Vanes > Canelo > Derev..... or Vanes > Derev > Canelo..... depending on how long Canelo is suspended.....

and if they fit Saunders ahead of Derev, Golovkin will lose the IBF strap..... rendering the Saunders/Golovkin unification somewhat pointless

tell me..... why the fk did they not jump on Saunders, and defer the fight until June?????

that would have been PERFECT for Golovkin..... he could take a break for 2 weeks to avoid over-training while his team line up some lefties and tailor the camp..... easing him in and leaving them up to 7 weeks to prepare

Golovkin is a veteran pro..... there are no excuses whatsoever for letting that fight slip away, AGAIN..... especially given the window that just got presented to him..... they should have jumped on that opportunity.... but once again, it got away..... just like Cotto, Ward, and other opportunities that got plenty of talk-time, but received very little REAL interest when push came to shove

FACT: they ABSOLUTELY 100% know that fighting Vanes now will..... 1) kill a MUCH bigger fight down the road..... 2) potentially lose either the IBF or an opportunity for the WBO..... 3) create an impossible logjam over the following 12+ months, because Charlo is his other mando

              they 100% know

is Golovkin going to fight Canelo, and then retire ?

is that why they passed on Saunders and Derevyanchenko ???

I don’t remember Saundernbeing a option instead of Monroe

What I remember around that time was Saunders saying he wasn’t ready ( he wasnt) and wanting like 5 mil at the time and given both their place at the time that wasnt going to happen

I was all for them fighting Saunders or at least exploring the option before the travesty that was ggg / Brook but Tom claimed they didn’t have the $ to meet Saunders demand

We both agree that Gennady made the right choice and fought Canelo instead of Saunders

But from listening to the pound for pound podcast today that had Saunders as a guest he never mentioned a June fight he only mentioned focusing on Murray and said he wouldn’t fight in May against ggg because he wants to be 100% healthy because he doesn’t want the paycheque he wants the Win

he knows that his time will be in sept if Canelo is suspended or the fight after that and he seems fine with that

He knows where he stands I don’t know why you have a bigger issue then him about when he’ll get the fight

He knows the longer he waits the better his chances are to get the W and it’ll happen if Gennady beats Canelo or is suspended and thats his lotto ticket

they offered Saunders 1.5mil - with NO offer of negotiation - and then ran off to fight Dominic Wade.....
                  https://www.boxingscene.com/saunders...illion--102915

that negotiation happened around Jan 2016, about a month before they announced the Wade fight

then..... Saunders watched Kell Brook make 4-5 mil LOL

Brook made more than 3x what they offered Saunders for Golovkin's "dream"

they split the pot more fairly with Hearn, because they ACTUALLY wanted to fight Kell Brook..... they did what they needed to do to make that fight happen

they have shown little/no interest in Saunders..... just like the other big fights that "got away"

and whats up with them passing on Derevyanchenko ?

they can clearly see that fighting Vanes now will make it impossible to fight Derevyanchenko, Canelo, and Saunders, in September..... so why would they not take the opportunity to get rid of that pesky mandatory now, in order to keep September free for Canelo/Saunders?

what is your excuse explaining why they are desperately trying to avoid that fight, knowing perfectly well that it will cause a log-jam in September?

the guy has 10 fights under his belt

and don't use money as an excuse..... first, they would have to pay Derevyanchenko a step-aside fee..... second, if they do not fight him now, and Canelo only gets a 6 month suspension, then how can Golovkin fight Canelo for a huge payday in September without losing his IBF strap?..... the IBF will not make Derevyanchenko wait another year, they stripped Fury after 8 days lol

                  they 100% know

is Golovkin going to fight Canelo, and then retire ?

is that why they passed on Saunders and Derevyanchenko ???

is he desperately looking for a no-hoper so that he can break Hopkins record in May..... collect that Cashnelo payday in September..... and then retire..... without ever fighting Saunders, Derevyanchenko, or Charlo/Andrade/etc??

... is that why he is showing little interest in the IBF/WBO titles?

I'm sure Boo Boo will price himself out and be a coward like always so the only real option is Derevchenko. Make the fight or don't bother fighting. We don't really care. Charlo WILL be fighting. Jacobs WILL be fighting. So Grovelkin is the older less active guy that is washed up and can't take this business anymore. Mexican style my ass. More like Floyd style. He got a taste of fighting the best in his loss to Jacobs and draw with Canelo. Now he wants shameless cherry picks or to ride the pine and warm the bench while Charlo and Jacobs TAKE the middleweight division over!

All I’ll say is Gennadys team don’t want to fight Devechenko right now because he’s not with the risk on short notice with the fights he has coming up which are more important legacy wise and better paydays

If there’s a log jam come sept hopefully the IBF realizes that Canelo or Saunders fights trump a Devechenko fight but I dont know the sanctioning bodies rules enough to give a concrete answer on to what the IBF will decide. But for me it’d be a shame to strip Gennady when he has 2 career defining fights in the pipeline but if the IBF wants to strip him and get a pittance of the sanctioning $ with Devechenko compared to what a Canelo or Saunders fights will get them then do it

It’s clear we won’t agree so there’s no point going back and forth

You think Gennady is the biggest coward and ducker in the sport And I don’t . its all good
