    look what happened with Gassiev.....

like I told you guys last week..... that is EXACTLY what they could have done with Golovkin if he had selected Saunders in June

give him a 7-10 day break, even 14 days, to avoid over-training..... on FULL diet, light road-work only, purely maintenance..... while they arrange some lefties..... and then slide Golovkin back into the groove with up to a 7 or even 8-week camp should they deem it necessary

they had plenty of time, that is standard simple stuff..... and they had a willing opponent

that fight COULD have happened, but it did not..... AGAIN
I don't know about excuses from their end, I've not read anything from them about reasons for keeping the date if that's what they intend to do to be honest. It's certainly not an excuse from my end, as him fighting whenever or whoever doesn't effect me in anyway.

I really have no idea, as it's not something I'm clued up on, but I'd imagine a 36 year old GGG going through a camp, then not fighting at the end of it, resulting in his longest stretch between fights would have a bigger impact on him than a 24 year old Gassiev breaking camp.

I know fights are postponed/called off often, but it's not ideal.
I'll stick with what I said originally in thinking GGG should fight in May (who that would be I don't know), then BJS 5/6 months down the line.
I'd imagine a lot hinges on Canelo's suspension length though as that's the money fight and main focus.

I don't think you're up to speed on that

Saunders said that he would be available in early JUNE

that is ONE MONTH later..... they needed to defer the fight for 4 weeks..... and at that stage, they had plenty of time

Saunders offered that fight in early April, which left 8 weeks to prepare

they could have given Golovkin a 7-10 day break, even 14 days, to avoid over-training..... on FULL diet, light road-work only, purely maintenance..... while they arrange some lefties..... and then slide Golovkin back into the groove with up to a 7-week camp should they deem it necessary..... which would have been plenty

judging by your timeline, then I agree..... but judging by the actual timeline, no way..... also, they had much better options than Munguia Spike and Vanes..... who are they kidding lol
