The issue many of us have with you is the double standard.

When it’s a boxer you are a fan of, like ggg, you focus on the positives of the opponent no matter how garbage he is, and give huge credit. That is what you did in this thread.

When it’s a boxer you’re not a fan of, like Canelo, then you trot out the old “ the best need to fight the best” and focus on the negatives of the opponent and refuse to give credit.
no cause what larry has done is twist my words in other threads, i remember vanes was a step in opponent, and he was better than most step in opponents that people take in on short notice like the bum tank is fighting. and yes vanes had given good accounts against top fighters, you had uneducated fans like larry making out he was some hot dog seller. vanes also went further than 3 rounds when he fought the top guys (before ggg). that cant be said about makuba

This post is a perfect example of my point.

How come you aren’t mentioning Vanes lost 2 of 3 before ggg and the win was a questionable MD over Ishe Smith but keep talking about Makuba losing to Bellew even though he’s won 9 in a row since that loss?

      Completely biased.

bellew stopped him in 3. whereas vanes dropped andrade who only beat him on a split, some thnik he was robbed against charlo and didnt do bad against lara, who people at the time were saying ggg was avoiding. how can vanes be some bum yet the guy who beat him by 1 or 2 rounds was being touted to beat GGG? makuba is absolutely useless, sorry if truth hurts but he is

This is the only time I give GGG a pass for his history of ducking and dodging, it was not his fault Canelo Alvarez is a drug cheat who FAILED A DRUG TEST and he had to make the fight on short time. His fight with Vanes is excused but his disgraceful ducking of Andre Ward is not.

Was a **** opponent but do people really think Derev would've accepted the $225k purse that Vanes did? HBO wasn't going to put up a lot of money for that fight date.
