hes no bum, hes been out for a while, 3-3 in his last 6 fights, and has never fought at 160. sadly if this was any other fighter especially one you didn't like (mayweather, ward, wilder, etc) taking this fight you would call him a bum and bash it. The way you all flip flop to suit your agenda is laughable and sad but hey its life.

ward has fought fighters a hell of a lot worse than vanes and they werent stand ins. brand, rodriguez for a start. and he went after the frank buglioni fight. mayweather jsut fought someone who wasnt even a boxer. wilder has fought scrub after scrub and the difference between him and ggg is that there were suitable opponents for him to fight at the time, he shat his pants and said he wasnt ready for klitschko when he'd had 30 or so fights.

Vanes is durable, rough, comes to fight and is also 6 feet tall. I also feel the Andrade fight was a robbery that Vanes also clearly won. I hope this fight is finalized because it will be one of the best fights of the year. Golovkin is a true champ and is always looking to fight the best fighters in the world.
I thought Andrade clearly won. The first fight with Lara was very close at the time of the stoppage. Didn't see the rematch but I'm going to watch it out of curiosity.

Why do you bring up Ward & Mayweather? Both are retired...

Anyways, Vanes isn't bad. In fact I have him going 12 (unless the ref calls it to soon) & I think Vanes will look better against a guy coming forward. Him and GGG have the same reach and Vanes has the height advantage.

what you are bringing up has nothing to do with this fight, its simply not a good fight but due to the circumstance it had to happen, why cant you all just leave it at that? these threads are terrible, you sit n bash every fighter who isn't your fighter then expect people not to call your fighter out when he does some bullsht? almost 3 years inactive?? come on man stop it, im not the one bashing gggee, hell canelo ruined the fight but there were various others calling him out and he picks a guy who hasn't fought in years and never fought at 160??? the best thing to do as his fan is blame canelo; not bash every other fighter but then try to defend the bullsht! stop it

Just going out on a limb here, but I think it's because the post he quoted brought those fighters up. Brand was a terrible opponent, worse than Martirosyan by far. The criticism is warranted on that one and it has nothing to do with people not being a fan of Ward, which is what the quoted post implied.

Vanes is not a very good opponent but he is an interesting opponent because he has had 12 rounds fights with Lara, Andrade and Jermell Charlo. GGG's performance against Vanes can be compared with their performances against Vanes.Lara and Andrade are often talked about as potential opponents for GGG. I wish GGG was fighting Andrade instead of Vanes. We will see how Andrade and GGG compare when fighting Vanes.

For the record, I'm not saying that Martirosyan is a good fight or anything like that. I'm a fan of Golovkin and I don't like to see any top-level boxers in meaningless fights whether I root for them or not.
