Mayweather was 40, retired and wasn't holding any titles. GGG had been scrub after scrub and now he's afraid to fight his mandatory and everyone associated with GGG know that its not a sure thing that GGG can beat any of top contenders now and would rather wait for that Canelo money. GGG should just drop the IBF belt and fight Vanes then.

100% I'm a GGG fan but that's ridiculous. This is a crap fight if it goes forward. I'm not going to blast GGG but I'm also not going to give him any credit. Basically this fight is meaningless in his career. The question is what does he do going forward.

NO! But go ahead and get it out of the way but do you sacrifice a potential match up with Canelo in September because you will be ordered to fight your Mandatory next?

But No it is not a ***ing "GREAT FIGHT"

GGG should do the honourable thing and offer to meet Vanes at a catchweight. 157. Halfway. The guy is not a MW and doesn't belong there make a damn sacrifice to make this fight at least respectable.

Vanes is the only one out of all considered who openly expressed little regard for his purse against GGG. basically his services come cheap and with a $1.5 million budget he is the chosen one. I highly doubt Derev would accept the purse Vanes is taking. but they should offer it to him anyways to get him out the way because there's no doubt he's gonna turn it down.

Andrade talks plenty sht but he comes across as the type to overrate his worth and price himself out. Will he fight GGG for peanuts? I doubt it.

I'll say this Vanes is a better option than Spike and Munguia that's for sure.

It wouldn't have been the worst fight in the world if it wasn't for the fact that he hasn't had a fight in 2 years. Even if he was an accomplished fighter, the two year inactivity would make it a bullshit cherry pick.

Opinions can’t be correct or incorrect.

The issue many of us have with you is the double standard.

When it’s a boxer you are a fan of, like ggg, you focus on the positives of the opponent no matter how garbage he is, and give huge credit. That is what you did in this thread.

When it’s a boxer you’re not a fan of, like Canelo, then you trot out the old “ the best need to fight the best” and focus on the negatives of the opponent and refuse to give credit.
