How?! The WBO has near enough been continually passed around by one promoter it's entire existence. It's pretty much Arum's plaything.

Humble AJ who don't like hype as he's standing around a giant flaming letters A & J while doing a piss poor Naseem Hamed impression said that you don't say? Seems legit.

I mean hey man I'm just saying I see the same bs the IBO as I seen with the WBO. Its a long process, but they are doing a lot right in getting it becoming more major.

I wouldn't be more happier to be wrong here, but I just don't see it. I think 5 titles will have a nice ring to it to some of the stockholm syndrome boxing fans around. I mean there are cats who hype the 4 titles most everyone accepts now despite knowing how much more sense & less confusing boxing was back then..

Playing devil's advocate here, I think all the ranking bodies have their faults, but looking at IBO a little closer there's actually a lot to like in their approach:

The only sanctioning body using independent objective computerized rankings.
          2. We abide by and work in conjunction with the rules and laws of State and Country Commissions.
          3. We license only fair, honest and experienced judges, referees and commissioners of the highest integrity. (Licenses limited to 35 judges and 25 referees.)
          4. Simple yet exact guidelines for champions.
          5. We limit our role in boxing to ranking boxers, sanctioning matches authorized by our championship rules and awarding the championship title to the winner.
          6. We are independent, reliable and accessible.
and a quick look at their rankings suggest they don't have as many of the mystery ratings that seem to crop up regularly in the other bodies lists:

So although having multiple champions sucks, maybe we should pay them a little more respect and a little less for the bodies that have made so many dodgy decisions over the years?

not looking forward to arguing with post millenials of the 2020s that IBO was a fake title in the 00s and 10s, like arguing with millenials that the wbo was fake in the 90s.

I Cringe every time someone mentions it as a negotiation tactic

"FOUR BELTS! AJ HAS FOUR BELTS!"

I like their rankings, I use them and trust them over any sanctioning body. But thats all

The IBO has had this arrangement with other sites in the past and used to do the same with some magazines as well.
Ugh no wonder I’m hearing more and more about this trinket. IBO and WBO sicken me.
