What's the definition of a World Title to you?

Usain Bolt won the World Title at 100 metres. Should also the runner-up and the 3rd-placed guy be called World Champions?
    I believe you do.
You accept it in boxing, so I guess you accept it also in athletics.

When someone wins a gold medal at the AIBA's, do you call them an olympic gold medalist? Both are world championships. Should the Olympics recognize AIBA medals?

Nope. Olympic gold medals are to win in the Olympics.
World amateur gold medals are to win in the World amateur championships.
        Long tradition.

As professional boxing once had … one weight class, one world champ … Before the alphabet orgs interferred ...

If you are the best in your weight division, why do you have to pay some shameless business men to get recognition for it?
It doesn't exist in any other sport. You should see WBC, WBA etc. for what they really are ...

Just leave it as is. 4 sanctioning bodies WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO

At least if 4 champions fought against each other it would be 3 fights in a mini type tournament for unification.

Adding the IBO would be a ridiculous joke. Let's all hope it just stays as is with 4 major sanctioning bodies.

There was a time when only the wbc, wba, ibf were considered world titles.

                    Wbo is bogus imo.
