Yes Vanes is a bum he has NEVER fought at 160 he is coming off 2 years without fighting and had no fight coming up that he scrapped to take this instead. So he will have what 2 week training camp to fight at a new weight? And he hasn't won a fight in 3 years and lost 2 of his last 3 fights when he did. This is a TERRIBLE fight and GGG deserves all the criticsm he is getting for picking this guy especially if he gives up his belt in the process after screaming I'm about the belts and mocking other fighters business men. Now he's the business man trying to get the IBF to break their own rules and not fight his mandatory.

If the IBF is gonna follow their rules they'll order negotiations to begin the Monday after may 5th and give them 30 days to come to a resolution or head to a purse bid. Since when do sanctioning bodies make someone fight the mandatory with 3 weeks to go after someone pulls out of a fight?

I wait for one example of any prominent fighter having to do anything close to what you expect to happen. Probably never has

What I'm saying is: Cotto told GGG to step aside so he can fight Canelo for much more $$ - which was $20m. Gennady permitted it. If Cotto said "I simply just don't want to fight you and I'm not paying X amount" then he simply would have been stripped.

No high profile fighter who was making multi millions dollar bouts have ever had to go back to making $800k.

Again, IBF haven't ordered this fight yet though. So if they do, we can cross the bridge. But until then, GGG can fight a voluntary, and the IBF needs to be more transparent and act quicker to allow a fighter to properly train and make a decent amount of money.

It also has to do with not adjusting his training anymore than it has to be. He's geared up to be in peak condition for the 5th of May. That's why he wants to fight on the 5th of May.

But they were planning on having more money to play with when they were continuing on PPV. Once Loeffler changed his mind on the whole "fans don't cancel your vegas hotel and flight reservations" talk and decided to make the fight on HBO not PPV the fight budget dropped and they refuse to use much of that new budget on their opponent. Which is why they can't even afford a bum like Spike LMAO

Yeah, the IBF should have been ahead of this curve. Around the time they issued that Canelo got popped they should have said "look, you still have 2 months until a fight can take place and it's our turn to mandate a fight. In the event that the fight is canceled or can't happen due to suspension by the date of _____ then you WILL have to fight Sergiy. If that date comes and goes and there is still no news on if the fight is canceled or not, then you will are hereby permitted to fight a voluntary defense".

Simple, transparent, to the point, and concrete. That could have easily prevented alot of confusion. And each day that passes, it costs everybody involved $$

BS Spike was willing and agreed to all terms WEEKS ago when the fight was still scheduled to take place in Vegas on PPV for more money. Then GGG camp went the cheap route took it to Stubhub and offered him shyt compared to his original offer.

Unless you think the difference in quality of opposition between Vanes MayoWHATSHISNAME and Gary O'Sullivan is a $65 ppv price then shut the **** up.

Vanes is only getting the fight because he's the only bum willing to take the fight for virtually no money. He said flat out I don't care about the money I know if I win I will get money later.

And yet Sergei D is not willing to take the same action while you make GGG seem to be the bad guy. GGG isn't the only one who can take less money for a risky fight here.
