God help me I am going against my better judgement to try and reason with you. HBO is only willing to pay 1 million dollars for the fighter purses for the fight. So GGG is going to get the lions share of that million dollars because he's the name and he needs to maximize his portion of the check because he already lost out on the big payday he would have received from the rematch with Canelo. But that doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for securing Sergei D. Especially since Sergei D. wanted at least 400k to fight Andrade (he turned down the fight when he was offered 250k) and by all rights should demand even more than 400k for a much bigger and more meaningful fight.

I understand Sergei D. not settling for chump change. He's got a guaranteed shot at GGG or the belt so why settle for anything less than what he feels he's worth. But GGG shouldn't have to settle for parity or making less than Sergei D just to secure him as an opponent. Sergei hasn't done enough to justify it.
