Its probably a question of how much money Sergei D. wants on short notice. Not a lot of time to promote the event and make it profitable. Hence they are probably low balling guys. Boxing is a business.

They can get Andrade too BUT team GGG doesn't seem to be interested. I don't know when they finally going to pick an opponent but I guess it's a good thing that Vanes let them know he also wants the fight.

Its all about the money. Its not just about getting GGG a good opponent but its also about making it a profitable event. They aren't going to go out of their way to lose money on a fight just to keep GGG busy. Andrade was willing to take 250k to fight Sergei D. He's probably going to ask for more to fight GGG on short notice and I wouldn't blame him. But with him making so much and GGG making his money plus all the other salaries for the other fights on the card it gets really hard to put together a profitable show in short notice. Loeffler needs to just move off the May 5th date. Move to later in the month or in June to fight Sergei D or BJS.

And it'd be much cooler if he just fought a tip top guy in June or July vs fight some bum May 5 & than we don't get to see him in a real fight til Aug/Sept. probably. GGG ain't no spring chicken. A May 5 fight vs a bs guy is a wasted moment, a wasted fight for GGG.

I agree. But I think Loeffler would then keep GGG on the sidelines if a Canelo suspension doesn't rule out a September fight. If that is the alternative would you really prefer to see GGG sitting on his a$$ instead of sparking someone.
