  • First, I would like to congratulate Anthony Joshua on his win over a limited opponent. I thought his performance was both shameful and pathetic.

Joshua had a man in there who was literally willing to throw in the towel but Joshua carried him for twelve straight rounds.

Had Anthony turned up the pressure just a bit more he could have easily gotten Parker out of there because by the eight round he was clearly in survival mode and was looking for way of checking out.

It only goes to show how mentally weak Anthony Joshua is. Wilder would have easily knocked him out.

    • How didn't people see the amount of punches Parker was landing on the inside? In the moments while the ref was walking in to stop the fight Parker was landing more punches than Joshua

AJ clearly won the majority of the rounds. Parker really didnt do much.
Then he should have had him and knocked him out because clearly Parker didn't want to fight anymore. All Joshua had to do was to settle down on his punches little more and gotten him out of there. However, he didn't because he lacks a mean streak and a killer instinct. Wilder on the other hand is mentally meaner, stronger and tougher than AJ. He'll knock Anthony the F O!

        • Looked to me that parker went in there to survive rather than win. He did well to make aj miss but couldnt make him pay, he would have known he was down on the cards but didnt switch it up. The ref was also trash

          • I don't ever think I've seen a worse Ref job in a big fight than this one. Looked to me that the "outcome" was told to him before the fight, and he made sure it happened. He literally killed any monentum that started. Who the f**k steps in to break up the fighters while they are throwing??! Garbage show. Eddie Burn should be ashamed of himself.

Funny how his wrap kept coming undone after he threw a bunch of punches and then able to take a nice break??? That's some calculated smart sht right there??? Pednelo should learn that trick. Or anyone else with stamina issues. Not hard to get down to a science also.
That stuff with the wrap really p1ssed me off, at one point he went over to his corner without the ref telling him to get his wrap fixed (it wasn’t even that messed up) right after he got caught pretty good by Parker. Bogus.

                • What a terribly boring unification match...

That was a terrible fight. I had it 116-112 Joshua. I had it even thru 8 but gave Joshua the last 4 rounds only because he landed a few more shots. The referee was a disgrace & I counted 4 or 5 times throughout the fight where he called break when the action was starting to heat up on the inside. There was a few times Parker was letting his hands go & chasing him down but the ref got in there & broke it up when there wasn't even a clinch. He didn't allow inside fighting which completely stops Parker from having any chance of winning. That is the only way he had a chance plus Joshua was holding but I didn't see that being too big an issue because they would have be broken up anyway. The ref was way too involved. 3 times he allowed Joshua to have the tape hanging loose on his glove but after a Parker punch & clash of heads Joshua held his right glove up to get the ref to stop the action & he did but he allowed Joshua to land a few jabs the other times before walking over & fixing the tape himself. Not a big deal but still too involved in the fight. The right man won but I think the score cards were a little too wide. If Fury can somehow regain his old form I see him having a very good good chance of beating Joshua. I actually give him as good if not a better chance then Wilder. That is only if he regains his old form. The Wilder fight is 50/50 & I might even favor Wilder a little from what I have been seeing from Joshua the last couple fights. Wilder & Fury are both tall & long. Just make Wilder/Joshua already! I want a unified champion by the end of 2018...

I agree with you. The ref was getting too involved everytime Parker starting throwing on the inside the ref stop the action. It was driving me insane!
