No he didn't, because the WBA postponed ordering their mando on account of the AJ/Pulev negotiations having already begun, which is also mentioned in that article.

Ortiz then lost his WBA mando position after failing a PED test for the 3rd time.
The million dollar question is: Why was AJ ALREADY in talks with Pulev, instead of Ortiz? Which one was signed to Matchroom? Ortiz or Pulev? The answer is that Hearn did not want that work from Ortiz! You can't come on here and bash Ortiz as an opponent for Wilder, when AJ (Hearn) did whatever he could to avoid Ortiz! Wilder not only fought the Boogeyman, he KO'd the Boogeyman!

As the saying goes, there are 3 truths to every story, Hearns truth, Wilders truth and the actual truth somewhere in the middle.

Deontay Wilder should attend Cardiff; What the hell for? It's not like he is getting a guarantee to challenge Joshua.

This is just another futile attempt by Eddie Hearn to manipulate Wilder. He is setting him up to fail and by making him look like a damn fool in the process.

He is attempting to get all of these gullible boxing fanatics excited that a Wilder/Joshua match is imminent but nothing could be further from the truth.

At the time Ortiz was with Matchroom, but the whole PEDs thing blew that fight not any ducking. Think about it, if Ortiz tests positive it draws attention to all Matchroom fighters, which means either AJ is juiced so they want to avoid that kind of scrutiny or he isn’t and they want to avoid that kind of scrutiny/distraction. So, yes they didn’t fight Ortiz to protect AJ but nothing to do with boxing.

wow.. so now Ortiz ain't sht? so it wasn't you guys saying Wilder will never fight him and calling him a boogeyman? let's just forget all that and focus on the next smokescreen.. Whyte. he's your new boogeyman this time.

You make too much sense. They are idiots on here the likes I have never seen and may never see again. Wilder is fighting for his legacy - we don't care who has the belts. True Wilder fans just want him to unify the belts. If AJ loses to Parker twice, do these delusional and pathetic fans really think Wilder is interested in fighting him? No... he wants the belt.

Again - telling lies. There was no PED thing while Ortiz was with Matchroom. How do you even conceive the things you just wrote? No matter what you say, AJ has juiced in his professional career. He still might but using Ortiz as a cover or fall guy - you guys have really gotten so low.
