It went from Ortiz will ko Wilder to Ortiz being caught with possible PED use to Wilder is fighting an old man to good win for Wilder back to Ortiz was 70 and on blood pressure pills, lmao. That's Joshua's fans for you!

He had been negotiating with Pulev since before he fought Wlad because Pulev was the IBF mando and AJ was IBF champion. He had to negotiate an exception with the IBF and Pulev in order to be allowed to fight Wlad instead of his mando, Pulev.

Ortiz didn't become his mando till after he beat Wlad, and he had already been ordered to fight Pulev next by the IBF and had agreed to do it by then.

AJ's UK fans won't care about Wilder unless he is fighting AJ or Whyte. They will have stopped talking about him already. That's why it was a bad idea for him not to come to Cardiff and call AJ out. He could have done that just easily as a commentator as by getting up into the ring.

And Ortiz went from an old, over the hill PED cheat who nobody gave a fukk about to the most dangerous and avoided HW in the world as soon as Wilder decided to fight him.

            No, actually.

He became the most dangerous and avoided HW in the world as soon as he crushed Bryant Jennings, who had just gone the distance with Klitschko.

Nobody was avoiding Ortiz, ffs. He signed with GBP and they lined up fights with Ustinov and Oquendo for him but, he wouldn't fight either of them and left GBP instead. Then he looked like **** against Malik Scott and Dave Allen, before failing another PED test after swerving AJ and going for Wilder instead.

At that time, AJ only had the IBF belt. Eddie obliged and promised Ortiz he would be next after the unification fight with Wlad (who by the way had no belts after being grossly embarrassed by Tyson Fury).

Ortiz went along based on the agreement in place. Yet, AJ was willing to fight Wlad again in the rematch having again paid the boxing councils. But when the fight fell through, he avoids Ortiz like a plague and suddenly the IBF becomes the higher mandatory over the WBA.

He wasnt WILLING to do anything because Klitchko put that in the contract if he lost he gets a rematch .

The IBF gave Joshua permission to go ahead to fulfill Klitchkos rematch claus , the WBA had no say at all in that ,hence he ended up fighting Takam the IBF 's appointed mandatory .

Really? Ortiz was nobody before Wilder?

                  November 9, 2016:

Titleholders Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua also have plenty of the spotlight, and for good reason: They are both charismatic knockout artists with big fan bases who also talk a good game.

And then there is the 6-foot-4, 240-pound powerhouse Luis "King Kong" Ortiz, perhaps the best of all the big men but a guy who receives a fraction of the limelight of the others. He certainly appears to be the most feared fighter in the division because none of the other top big men dare mention his name.

                  May 8, 2017:

"I congratulate the young man for courage but I'm next and that is that. Look, my team let that fight happen because the WBA and Eddie Hearn asked us for a favor and because Klitschko didn't want to fight me but I'm done being pushed back. It's my time and I want my WBA belt so yeah I'm calling Joshua out. If he likes he can just give up the belt but if not then October or November sounds good to me so it's your move boy. To be he best you have to fight the best," Ortiz had previously told BoxingScene.com...

"Look, boxing is a sport not just a business and it's not fair to me if they allow Joshua to get special treatment because someone is dishing out money. My team convinced me to let the WBA move on with the resolution because of lawsuits that were coming at (WBA President) Mendoza so I agreed on the WBA terms so they told the world and me that I was next no matter what the IBF was asking...

                  October 8, 2017:

Heavyweight Luis "King Kong" Ortiz, who holds an interim world title and is perhaps the most feared big man in boxing, signed a promotional agreement with British promoter Matchroom Boxing, the company announced Saturday...

Now Ortiz is with Eddie Hearn's company, which could pave the way to an eventual fight with world titleholder Anthony Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs).

"Luis Ortiz is one of the most exciting heavyweights in the world and I am delighted to be working with him," Hearn said. "We plan to keep him very busy and let the fans enjoy his devastating power. Luis is an avoided fighter but we plan on giving him the profile that will make that impossible."
