No it is not. If I wanted to get an illegal gun right now it would probably take me a week. And if I wanted an illegal AR-15 it would probably take 2 or 3 weeks. You gotta know the right people to get your hands on a gun. Back in the day I could probably get them faster but it's still a process.

Because if they’re not mentally capable and responsible enough to handle a firearm than I don’t see how their opinion matters. You wouldn’t ask a 14 year old their opinion on traffic laws would you? And a lot more people dying from traffic accidents then guns.

People are so easily fooled. Most couldn't even tell you what defines an "assault rifle" but the name is scary so they want to ban it. And, coincidentally, legislation tends to cross over to cover many types of weapons. Meanwhile, the violence on the streets is primarily being done with pistols.

What do people do with "assault rifles"? Some defend their homes, others hunt food, some find recreation in shooting targets, not unlike archery. Crimes committed with them are not in such excess that the rights of citizens should be removed. Don't let misunderstanding and fear of things you don't understand make a fool of you.

You don't think a couple weeks is an EASY way to get a illegal gun?? I could get one tomorrow if I wanted. Because I know people. But it should be impossible or think about how many people would buy them if, say you sold an illegal gun and could be charged with attempt of murder? Or if you used one the death penalty? My point is if you crack down the laws of illegal guns and made stronger background checks/ media checks( to purchase guns) it would help a huge deal.
