Stop bullying, put armed security guards and metal detectors in all schools and take all kinds of threats and early indicators seriously. The kid in the FL school shooting could have been stopped several times before that happened.

Having armed guards and something along that line wouldn't be a bad idea, it opens up jobs and would make schools more safer in the long run.

Bingo. At least tax money goes to use for something that benefits our children/us. And, I attended a school with metal detectors at every entrance and exit and it made a difference. (even though there were ways around it)
In my terrible crime district school I never once saw a gun or knife.

Now they’re saying you should be 21 to buy guns but at the same time I’m supposed to take some kids seriously on the gun debate? F that. I’m not going to let a generation that eats tide pods lecture me about the 2nd Ammendment.

If these folks truly cared about children's lives, maybe they would spend time, money, and resources on things that are truly killing children in great numbers on a daily basis. People are so easily fooled. Most couldn't even tell you what defines an "assault rifle" but the name is scary so they want to ban it. And, coincidentally, legislation tends to cross over to cover many types of weapons. Meanwhile, the violence on the streets is primarily being done with pistols.

What do people do with "assault rifles"? Some defend their homes, others hunt food, some find recreation in shooting targets, not unlike archery. Crimes committed with them are not in such excess that the rights of citizens should be removed. Don't let misunderstanding and fear of things you don't understand make a fool of you.

Guess we’ll have to agree to disagree then. I don’t think guns are the issue. I think it’s the moral breakdown of America that is the problem. There’s too many people that just don’t value life. Take away all the guns and I think we’d just see a huge increase in mass stabbing, cars being run into crowds and homemade bombs. I believe that until we address the issue of societies lack of morality we will continue to see countless deaths.

I can agree it isn't just one issue, but guns are a big part of it currently, as well as cutting mental health services, 'me first' society, many other societal issues, etc. Very complicated issue.
