Exactly no one needs military weapons to defend themselves.

As if that's the only debate around gun ownership.

FWIW I think assault rifles should be banned / heavily, heavily restricted - but I'm not too ****** to think they will stop there. There are tens of millions of Americans, perhaps hundreds (200+?) that would like ALL guns to be banned.

I think an armed community is a polite community - I've lived in towns where everybody knows everybody (I do now) and guns never raise an eyebrow. The culture (or perhaps lack thereof) is to blame for the extreme violence. Poverty, low IQs etc.

By the time humanity wakes up to the truth that we've all been played like fiddles for the past century, it will be too late. By then, racism won’t mean **** any more as all those outside the top 1% will be ******. This is coming in our lifetime.

People are so easily fooled. Most couldn't even tell you what defines an "assault rifle" but the name is scary so they want to ban it. And, coincidentally, legislation tends to cross over to cover many types of weapons. Meanwhile, the violence on the streets is primarily being done with pistols.

What do people do with "assault rifles"? Some defend their homes, others hunt food, some find recreation in shooting targets, not unlike archery. Crimes committed with them are not in such excess that the rights of citizens should be removed. Don't let misunderstanding and fear of things you don't understand make a fool of you.

I can only imagine the decrease in "hate" about this article if Wilders name was replaced with _______?

Your opinions don't matter. What matters are the facts, and the facts are that over 70% of mass shootings are done using illegal weapons and less than 15% are done with legal weapons, however the illegal weapons used in shootings are obtained either from being stolen or being illegally gifted. Having more guns in circulation is not the answer. I myself have a .357 magnum, but I would gladly give it up if it meant keeping weapons from those that are troubled who seek to hurt others.

My opinion doesn't matter, only the facts do?

Okay. Then could you please show me the statistics for crimes prevented because of guns? Murders, attempted robberies, assaults etc?

Last I checked the media doesn't report on those the same way they do with crimes committed with guns.

Be interesting to match the statistics to have an objective debate on the gun issue. If objectivity were the objective I'm sure the media could easily present both positive AND negative sides of gun ownership and let us sheep err citizens make a more informed decision.

And I like how you tried to frame me for being ignorant for not wanting assault weapons banned but then you spat out your true feelings in your next post - which is consistent with the whole slippery slope argument. You admitted to wanting all guns banned, not just assault rifles, but tried to use a sneaky and subversive argument while hiding your true intent.

It's already gotten some things done in state and natl legislatures. You should salute those willing to exercise their 1st ********* rights. We all should.

Instead of wasting money on ****** marches to pretend they care why don't they use the money towards actually doing something?
So, are you for Dump's ****** military parade that the little whiny brat is dying to have? THERE is a waste of money. This is a peaceful protest, guaranteed by our rights in the Constitution.
