Golovkin refused a lowball offer and made more than double that offer a year later.
Jacobs lost, he did well and probably won 1/2 the rounds BUT he also got knocked down.

Jermall Charlo is his mandatory by the way....I don't have a problem with him waiting a yr. to get more money out of it, its just the people are making excuses when they can't cuz of the facts. Jacobs did win even with the knock down, Jacobs landed more punches.
-He milked the weak division & stayed there till he got the Nelo payday.
My point was that he was in the weight class he belonged in. Golovkin is not a big middleweight but he offered to meet Ward in the middle at 164 and at the same time offered to fight the winner of Floyd/Canelo @154. Not sure what else he could do but face Ward at 168, a fighter at least as talented as himself but likely 10 lbs + heavier on fight night.
Jacobs didn't win. I'm cool with you thinking he did but most people don't think so. I though Hagler beat SRL, I'll always think that but it's only my opinion. Both fights were close, is what it is.

He just needs to not slow down with his punch output like he did mid-rounds last fight, and he'll get his W.

But anyway, I'm looking for a great fight.
