The business side of sports is vicious. Perhaps Manny has seen what Floyd was trying to tell him. Get away from these promoters . Get a lawyer, trainer. Sell your services to the highest hidder.

Manny been getting pimped all his career, and instead of us championing people like Haymon who offer financial freedom and ability to move as you like in this business, people supported arum and his devilish ways, smmfh

“Pacquiao is under contract with Top Rank for reasonably long period of time but I don’t know when the contract will expire,” Arum told BoxingScene.com.

How do you NOT know when it is going to expire?

"Aquiles Zonio, who is Pacquiao's media relations officer, made allegations against Arum, claiming the veteran promoter prevented Pacquiao from staging several bouts outside of the United States."

In two separate occasions, Arum called up Pacquiao’s financiers threatening to file a lawsuit if Top Rank is not included in the promotion. They cowed in fear resulting to the scrapping of the fight.”

I'm sorry, you can't be a fan of Pacquiao AND be a fan of Bob Arum! Choose one!

Pacquaio was out of his mind to sign that extension with Arum.

            What was he thinking?

Mikey Garcia is Fighting Back the Years

              January 27, 2017:

Garcia was on the track to becoming a superstar in the sport, but there was an underlying problem brewing that would eventually derail his career.

"I started to notice a pattern in the way the negotiations would go down [with Top Rank] after I beat Orlando Salido," Garcia said.

Garcia claimed that Top Rank would not pay him the full negotiated amount after several fights, saying his opponents were to blame for a reduced purse.

"It was always a fight with them. I took a $100,000 pay cut on the Rocky Martinez fight, and I got about $150,000 less than what I was promised for the next fight. It started to add up," Garcia said.

While Garcia was unhappy with Top Rank, he figured his contract with the company would expire on Feb. 27, 2014, and he would be able to sign elsewhere. Top Rank, however, told him his contract automatically renewed following a title win or a successful title defense, which Garcia said would indefinitely keep him under an outdated deal he signed in 2009. So Garcia sued the company on April 8, 2014, and it took two years for the case to go to court.

Following an unfavorable trial hearing, Top Rank was more open to a settlement and eventually came to terms with Garcia, who was freed from his contract without any compensation last April. Garcia agreed to the deal after denying Top Rank's request for confidentiality.

Honestly Bob should just let it go. Pacquiao's already far past his sell-by date, any time at all spent on a drawn-out legal battle essentially means he never fights again, destroying the entire point of the contract entirely. The only reason Bob has for trying to chain Pacquiao to it is vindictiveness.

In or out of contract Manny should walk away but is unfortunately going to have to be carried away.He has earned hundreds of millions and is about to become one of boxing's sad cases .The kid that ran riot is no longer and just around for the money.

Arum is gonna come back firing on all cylinders. that mofo is not gonna lose his main hoe without a fight.
