he's worth enough to make Arum cancel a PPV card. Manny still has drawing power.

      What was he thinking?
He was probably thinking about all the big money he made fighting guys like Algieri and Rios for 20 mill+, fights which Arum probably lost money on. Arum actually treated manny pretty good up until recently. I am dumfounded why Arum wouldnt have just made the Pacquiao Mathysse fight himself. Sounds like Arum thinks Manny is shot and just wants him to fight Crawford or Loma to change the guard at Top Rank. Im a fan of Bob Arum for all he has done for boxing the last 50 years, especially this ground breaking deal with Espn, but the way hes treating Manny right now is totally out of line. Hope Manny makes a lot for fighting Mathysse and gets out of his tax problems

Exactly, manny is his biggest draw even at this stage of his career. 4 million people watched him fight Horn. I guarantee Crawford Horn would have only got about 2 million views if it were on Espn. Manny is on the decline but Arum should have still treated him as his biggest draw until his popularity really declined. Instead he just tried to use Manny to prop up Crawfords ppv. Manny vs Mathysse should have been the headline fight with Crawford Horn on the undercard with the winners fighting each other in the fall. Everybody would have won in that scenario including Bob Arum. Instead Arum just wants to get rid of Manny so Crawford and Loma can be his biggest draws. Looks like he got his wish except he wont be able to screw over Manny in order to help Crawford

His contact is expired. He signed a 4 fight deal in 2014 according to his lawyer.

Last fight of 2006 contract- Chris Algieri (November 2014),

Four fights of 2014 contract - Floyd Mayweather Jr. (May 2015), Bradley (April 2016), Jessie Vargas (November 2016) and Jeff Horn (July 2017)

Arum is trying to strong arm him. If it goes to court, Pac should win easily.

The rematch clause isn’t enforceable anymore since Horn has fought someone else since Pacquiao.

This is going to end ugly. We have seen tons of fighters and their lawyers claim their contracts expired/ended but arum fights them tooth and nail on it. Mikey Garcia had to sit out years and take Arum to court to get Arum to stop fighting.

Arum is saying PAC agreeing to a rematch with Horn constitutes a new contract. It does not. He knows that. He’s a Harvard lawyer. But he’s banking on the ******ity of everyone else. Won’t work in this case.

Good. Hopefully Crawford and Lomo jump ship as well (is Lomo promoted by Arum???). Top Rank will sink faster than the Titanic

This is how Arum works, If Pacman signed the rematch clause w/Horn? He still has 1 more fight under TR banner. What they are failing to say, that there can be 2 stipulations on the contract 1 can be the length of time of the contract? and the more sure one the amount of fights they have left in the contract.

Arum is not ******, he knows contracts in and out. he knew that by signing the rematch clause he for Pacman until he wants. He can delay the Horn rematch as long as he wants, and derailed Pacman's career.

if manny is really still in contract with arum.

cant he just retired? wouldnt this delete the contract at hand?

then come back a year later as a free agent?

Boxing contracts sound even more complicated than hush-hush contracts with poorn stars.
