Taking that Ward fight would have done wonders (if GGG won).

A lot rides on the rematch, but I think he will get in. Whether he deserves to get in is an entirely different story.

Loeffler could have stood up more aggressively for him and guided him right. Sanchez could have talked a little less and improved on the raw robotic machine he had on his hands, and capitalized on his strength all the way to light heavyweight by now? GGG should've been through Ward by now.

I don't know man. I could go on a few more paragraphs.

Now, when people talk about him, including his fanboys, it seems like they are addressing a fossil! That's sad.

As if Ward really wanted it. Ward was willing to come down to 160 for Floyd but not GGG. Besides, Ward isn't a draw and isn't going to launch anyone's career. Golovkin earned more money in one fight than Ward has his entire career.

His best weight is 160. He has earned more in one fight than Ward has his entire career, who needs Ward? The guy can't even sell out a venue in his own home town. GGGs career is not hinged upon Ward or any other one fighter.

Don't care about what they make. It could've been a nice challenge for GGG, although he would have lost, no doubt about that.

If he does get in he would be among weakest inductees ever:

                - Never lineal champion of the ONLY weight class he fought at
                - Arguably lost to Danny Jacobs who has been easily dispatched of in the past and given gift draw after being badly outboxed against Clenelo
                - Refused to make big fights happen with Canelo or Ward unless they both came to him...Also had ridiculous financial demands
                - Looked VERY ORDINARY against Jacobs and Ca$h indicating his KO streak against part-time fighters was more bark than bite (Cotto KOing Geale also supports that idea)

If Danny and Ca$h go on to have good careers than his resume improves since he did get the Dec. against Danny and arguably deserved the draw and even outright won on some cards against Ca$h

If those two crash and burn...Pirog, Floyd, Lara, Trout, etc...it reflects very poorly on Gennady

How would all this work if Canelo beats him? Would many really care about him after that anymore? His ship is already half-empty now.

I don't remember ANY memorable career defining fight for GGG. The guy had hype without the skills to back it up.
