no, wilder hits extremely hard. he's got the boxing skills of a novice, but that does not matter if you're measuring punching power on its own. punching hard is not something wilder or any other natural puncher has to learn to do. he's got 84 inches to generate leverage with his upper body, he's six and a half feet tall and punches down on almost everybody, he's well over 200 lbs in the best shape of his life, and he's got very good handspeed for a man of his size. it's what he was born to do, especially with his right hand.Comment

Foreman along with Earnie is probably the heaviest handed puncher ever. Wilder is Lethal in a different way, not all his punches carry real power and he isn't what I'd call heavy handed at all but he does have that explosive whip like power in that right hand similar to a Tommy Hearns. Im not sure how determine the puncher of those two but I actually think DW is more likely to end things with one single blow. It's like when Zab fought Cotto, Cotto was stronger and landed the heavier telling shots throughout that stay with a man but the every now and then BOOM Zab would land with one of his rapid snappy shots and buzz Cotto...
There are definitely different types of power and I actually think there are different types of chin too meaning some guys can take the heavy shots all night but those Snappy shots get the job done and vice versaComment

Personally I put Mike Tyson as history's premier puncher, heavy handed and the most explosive everComment

Shavers knocking out Norton ( his best K.O ) in 1979 AFTER Foreman doesnt indicate he he hits harder than a guy with a resume full of better opponents , get real . lolLast edited by juggernaut666; 04-04-2018, 02:14 PM.Comment
