Mikey should finalize a fight with him and Easter Jr by June, that way the winner of each to contest can unify in the fall. WBC-Garcia/IBF-Easter jr. Vs. WBA Linares/Lomanchenko winner.

What Linares struggled to do against Demarco, Loma will be trying to accomplish vs Linares, being the smaller man, except Loma is trying to do it against a much faster, more talented boxer in Linares than Linares tried to against Demarco. Linares also has more power at lightweight than Demarco does at welterweight, which is to say that if the size difference between Loma and Linares and Linares and Demarco is equal, and Linares is now fighting two divisions above his natural division just like Linares was fighting an opponent naturally two divisions bigger than him in Demarco, that Lomachenko is now also facing more power, in addition to speed, relative to his natural size than Linares did vs Demarco, and yet you saw what even that did to Linares.
So if anything, that should tell you the challenge Lomachenko is taking on here, and the danger. Weight jumping is no joke when you're not starting out at an artificially low weight like weight bullies do. Lomachenko started out as an average sized featherweight at best, far smaller than the biggest ones like Mikey or even Salido, so for him to move up is nowhere near the same thing as say Crawford moving up who started artificially low.
lomachenko is at 130 lbs and has certainly adjusted. while he's not a natural LW, and we agree on that, he's not some tiny little guy who can't hurt or take the shots of 135 lbers. linares does not have a good chin. he's also not a life taker, he relies on guys to make mistakes or to eat jabs and get outboxed before he damages them. believe me, lomachenko will not do either of those things! he will stay close to linares and off to the side and pepper him, and he will not be able to get into the fight and box at the tempo he needs. then he'll head back to the center of the ring and start over.
demarco, several years after his fight with linares, was 141 in his last fight. he's not that big. it's not like he really imposed his size on the fight, either. it was just a matter of linares having no answer for a straight left hand after he'd slowed down. and believe me, the polish is getting knocked off of him again!
it's five lbs to 135. that's not that much. linares himself was a 122 lber and started his career in japan, probably because that's where small guys can make good money. at 130 lbs he was blasted spark out by a guy named juan carlos salgado, and believ eme, he was no freaking lomachenko

So you are clear, I wasn't suggesting Crawford would be because "he went first" FFS. I was pointing out that if Crawford wins a title in another division same as Loma, he would have a case for still being #1 p4p.
He is #1 on this site and the TBRB board.
I wasn't comparing Horn to Linares. How you got that is bizarre.
You are trying to make this a " Dunn is saying Crawford is #1 because he is black thing." It isn't, but telling you that is like saying it to a brick wall.
Since you are a clown, I will use a race neutral example. GGG is #1 on ESPN. You think if he beats Canelo he will drop from that spot? No.
Crawford will still be #1 if he wins. If you feel otherwise, I don't care.
Oh, that's right, the ESPN list has nothing to do with your opinion. But somehow you are conflating boxingscene's list with your opinion? That makes no sense unless you are the editor of that list.
And for the record, your post used the word if Crawford wins a title in another division "first," not me. I was just responding to the words you used.
As for Horn compared to Linares, those are the opponents for Loma and Crawford's upcoming fights, respectively, so why would you give those fights equal importance as far as P4P standing for Loma and Crawford if you weren't comparing their opponents and judging them as equals? That makes no sense, unless what you're saying is all that matters is the title, not the opponent, in which case... are you trying to tell me you base P4P on who has won the most random titles, rather than opponents? Because that would be just as ridiculous.
Bottom line, Crawford's resume sucks. His actual opponents aren't any good. Loma is about to fight his fourth opponent better than ANY Crawford has fought. 2 of the 3, he made quit. The other one he won almost every round. All three were undefeated. There's just no comparison between their resumes. I know Crawford is #1 on certain lists but I'm telling you that's only because he's American and the boxing writers have always found a way to have an American listed as #1 for like 90% of the last 50 years, because they know that's where the money is. The sport always wants to have at least one big American PPV star and one big Mexican PPV star because those are the major demographics that buy PPVs in the United States. That's why Crawford's resume has been overhyped to elevate him higher on the list than he deserves, and that's why Canelo has been so protected in order to help him stay relevant.
That's also, ironically enough since you brought that up, the ONLY reason ESPN has GGG at #1. They could care less about GGG. He is retiring in a couple years. There is no money in him. The ONLY reason they put him there is so that if Canelo beats him, and with GGG being 36 years old they know that's very possible, then they can move Canelo to #1 or #2, which is exactly what they've been wanting to do for a very long time. You have to understand how these things work. It's also why they put Chocolatito at #1 once he turned 30 (very old for the smaller weights) and started fighting at way too high a weight. They knew they could use him as a short placeholder who would lose soon and then they could make room for the guys they really wanted to put there, like Ward until he retired, and then Crawford and Canelo and eventually Spence. This is how their hustle works. Stay woke.

Great fight, people underestimate the difficulty in moving up in weight and beating bigger fighters. Linares is without a doubt top 2 at 135 right now and #1 if you don't consider Mikey a LW at the moment. This will be the toughest opponent that either of these fighters have faced imo. I think Linares will win a few rounds, but Lomachenko will take the majority and I think there's a good chance that this fight is stopped on cuts, with Linares' face ending up a mangled mess. Very much looking forward to this one
