The only thing that scares Eddie Hearn is the thought of not making as much money as possible.

He's invited Wilder to the AJ vs Parker fight to call out the winner. Let's wait and see what happens there. AJ has still got to beat Parker yet.

And AJ showed the heart of a boxer who had been in 40 or 50 fights, not the heart of someone being over his head with only 18 fights. Take out the drama and the story line of AJ-Klit and hands down Wilder-Ortiz is the better fight. It's really semantics so you're not wrong.

      Good post btw.
Agreed... I also think the TV commentary has a tendency of influencing the perception of the fight too. Remember after the AJ-Wlad fight, they were praising AJ so much as the next Savior to the extent that even Teddy Atlas and Lennox Lewis had to ask them to put a break to it. Many times, perception does not match reality.

Bro, this is something that is not absolute. Look, if I were a boxer and I beat you everytime we fought, but lost to all the people you beat, does that make me better than you? Probably not. It more likely implies that I could be your Kryptonite or I just prefer your style. Not sure if you follow tennis: Serena Williams struggled with Henin. The latter, however, got whooped repeatedly by Venus Williams. I don't think anyone in their right mind will say that Venus is a greater player than Serena.

Same here - no one, and I mean no one, is saying Ortiz is a greater fighter than Wlad. The simplest way to measure greatness is just looking at the numbers. It's a beatdown for Wlad over Ortiz. However, who knows?

Is it possible that if Ortiz and Wlad fought, the former could have won more often than not? Yes, and vice-versa too. That does not now mean that the Wlad who fought AJ was better than the Ortiz who fought Wilder - we can never tell that. Styles make fights!

Hell no. The fight was 90% posturing.

I don’t think AJ wins and I doubt he does it with ease, again am not hating here but style wise I think Wilder has this fight, unless Wilder doesn’t throw anything for the first 4 rounds like he did against Ortiz, then AJ stands a better chance.

That’s funny because I thought the exact opposite about Wlad Joshua. I’m like neither guy can fight inside, neither wants to take risks except if the other guy is wide open, and the skill level and punching power was a level below Ortiz Wilder.

I'm starting to lean towards Wilder also. I don't think it will be easy for either one. I saw a lot of poise and patience in Wilder against Ortiz. Especially when he got hurt. I think his ability to maintain his focus when hurt will be the difference. I think both of them will get hurt at some point in the fight. It's only a matter of who will react better.

AJ Klitschko was the better fight and was more entertaining

wilde ortiz was pretty boring the first few rounds

Hearn wants no part of the Wilder fight until his cash cow is fully milked.
AJ as a fighter of course wants the fight as does Wilder, but Hearn is the one standing in the way due to his greed and ego.
