Many of those guys were washed up, Toney beat McCallum when he was a champion. Toney def did better against Ruiz with one hand.

Also you mention the Griffen fights, Toney was robbed against Griffen both times, even HBO who hates Toney had it for Toney. Also don't forget that Griffen first fight against Jones, who Jones fouled him & lost, Griffen was doing great against Jones in the first fight. Also the second fight, I think he was paid to go down, Griffen's chin was not that bad to be knocked out like that.

Jones is overrated by the youngsters, just like Tyson is. **** some people thinks he would knockout Hagler.

before the fight you were talkin how hopkins was going to get owned, and when he beat your favourite fighter you said you weren't entirely sure if tarver would win it, you said it was a toss-up. well its a win-win situation for you, if tarver would have won you would bump your thread of how Tarver is the greatest fighter you have ever seen, but tarver lost so you said you already thought it was a toss-up. smart
I would never suggest Tarver is the greatest fighter out there. The fact that he even lost to Johnson by slacking off the first time and the loss to Harding proves that. Tarver chose Hollywood over boxing and he got what he deserved. I don't care. I'm happy as long as people get what's coming to them. Tarver deserved to lose and he lost. Doesn't mean I'll drop him completely, but his work ethic is nothing admirable.

But this thread isn't about who's the greatest fighter you've ever seen. It's about careers, accomplishments, legacy, etc. (At least that's what I think it's about). That's where Roy falls down (literally), because he's lost his last 3 and looked very bad doing it. Whereas Hopkins is ending his career on a high at a ripe old age of 41.

I have no doubt that a prime Roy beats a prime Hopkins 10 out of 10 times. But the latter part of his career has been a disaster, and that, combined with his reputation as being a ducker/protected HBO creation, hurts his legacy. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.
this is a perfect post. Skill and talent-wise Jones is miles above both guys, but his legacy however, is not.

              A win against Delahoya
First man to stop Johnson - the same mean that KO Roid

At age of 41 the man goes and beats the best LHW in the world in Tarver - The same man that owns Jones 3 times in my opinion.

Never in history of boxing a men dominated from the age of 35-41, this by it self blows away anything jones have done. You will never see another fighter this good at the age of 40, it's not possible.

Jones lost to 2 men that are actually older then him, he didn't lose to a young lion. How many great fighters have lost & came back, all the greats have done it, Jones hasn't done **** after he lost.

Jones beat Hopkins, when Hopkins was nobody, that was not a big event. His only big true fight was Toney, Jones became a star after this fight & maybe the Ruiz fight, who Toney with one hand beat Ruiz better.
There you prove your biased, which is probably why no one is listening to you.
You picked Toney out of the three hahahahahahahaha.

                Paid to go down??
What a pathetic joke. He got ****ing rocked by a insane left uppercut that he didnt see coming at all.

The fight was ruled a KO for Roy and changed afterwards.
Griffen put up a fight, but Roy was taking over, no question about that.

Jones faced 17 current or former champions. The only other fighters who come close to that mark in this generation are Holyfield and Oscar.

Roy won titles at 160 168 175 and Heavyweight.

He was also pound for pound best in the sport for about 7 or 8 straight years, and didn't lose more than a handfull of rounds in an entire decade.

After moving up to Heavyweight from Lt Heavy, he went back down and won the Lt Heavyweight title.

The only ones discrediting his legacy are proven and laughable Roy haters.

His legacy is unparalelled, and he makes a very strong case for the fighter of his generation.

Anyone who disagress is doing so out of spite or bias.

The fact that you spend HOURS upon HOURS with your old account hating on Hopkins for laughable and contrived reasons only contrasts how ironic and funny it is that you're pumping him up here to do the same to Roy.

You get off an hating, and you misrepresent facts and spout non sense to do it.
