So, Beltran is possibly enhanced, he's way bigger than Lomachenko, and he has one punch KO power against big lightweights. Lomachenko wasn't even the biggest featherweight when he fought at 126. Beltran could easily fight at 140. So, this fight might not be anywhere near as "lame"' as I once thought. I kept thinking back to Crawford-Beltran but that was before Beltran underwent his transformation, not to mention Crawford is way bigger than Beltran.
This is the problem with modern boxing. True boxers like Lomachenko who don't look for the extra advantage of weight bullying get judged unfairly against the weight bullies. Even I was guilty of that when Loma fought Salido. I was like, "Salido just looked like **** against Mikey Garcia. If Loma doesn't blow him out, he's a hypejob." But I didn't understand that Mikey Garcia was actually a 170 pound dude fighting at 126. Well, 170 now. Maybe back then he was only 155 or 160, fighting at 126. Meanwhile Loma was a 135 pound guy fighting Salido, who weighed 11 pounds more than that in the ring vs him. So OF COURSE the fight took on a completely different complexion.
And now the same thing is happening with Beltran. In fact the comparisons of Beltran to Salido are many here. We could be in for a surprise if that fight happens. But what I'm saying is you have weight bullies like Crawford draining down from 170 pounds in camp to make 135, then rehydrating back up to 155 in the ring or whatever, and kicking a smaller Beltran's ass, and now Loma is going to be judged by the same standard also fighting Beltran at 135, when Loma is naturally 30 to 40 pounds smaller than Crawford, and much smaller than Beltran as well. And when Beltran is better now than he was then.
Weight bullies are messing the whole game up, and confusing the **** out of fans, because most fans only look at the weight class boxers fight in, they don't do the research to see what their natural weights are, and how much they are ballooning up after the weigh in. It's also like how some people say Pirog was better than GGG because Pirog knocked out Jacobs, and GGG didn't. But if you look at the fight night weights for Jacobs-Pirog, the Jacobs that Pirog fought was about 10 whole pounds lighter in the ring than the one GGG fought. That's over a full weight class. That's 2/3 of the way from middleweight to light heavyweight. If GGG had fought the 170 pound version of Jacobs, instead of the 180 pound version, Jacobs would have been on the floor from the uppercut GGG landed in the 9th round, and he might not have gotten up. He might even have been on the floor from some of the jabs GGG landed. So fans need to stop comparing apples to oranges without first looking at how big these guys REALLY are, instead of just looking at what weight class they compete at. Jarret Hurd fights at 154 but he's bigger than all the middleweights. That's just one of many examples.Last edited by whoseyourdaddy; 02-08-2018, 10:27 AM.

IMHO Loma is the best in the world but he lost to Salido no excuses!
Salido was 147. Lomachenko was 136.
Both of you should get your facts straight.

aww sht.. dont tell me loma is taking a dip in the river of duck sauce.
but to be fair beltran is not "bum" so no need to sht on that fight. crawford said in an interview beltran is the most powerful puncher hes faced. so i guess thats a badge on beltrans resume lol.

That being said both Arum and Gomez both have phones. Seems easy for them to pick up the phone and call each other
