Or are you mindlessly repeating MayHaters propaganda?
Either way. Another dumb post by you.

Head to head this match up is not even close. When it came to ability Jones had every conceivable edge on Floyd. May's skill set and fundamentals wouldn't have been enough to off set Roy's natural ability of size, speed and punching power.

It's a known fact that Mayweather fought all the right opponents at the right time and made a goddamn fortune out of it. So that makes him a very savvy and shrewd businessman.
As in Floyd's own words; he says "It''s not about fighting harder, it's about fighting smarter". Does Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao rang a bell for you? He grossed over $400 Mil in just those two fights alone, while knowing full well, that both them of were washed out and well past their primes.
Yeah I just like thought. The man was and is an evil genius as far as fleecing the boxing public and making money is concerned. He takes on the lowest risk for the highest reward.

In addition all athletes will bend the rules if permitted and they can get away with it.

Seems like you didn't think your comment through.
Lets back up........
YOU SAID THIS:
Originally posted by champion4ever View PostTo sum it up. Roy Jones, Jr. Was the better fighter but Floyd Mayweather, Jr. So far has had a better career because he made smarter business choices by choosing and selecting his opponents very wisely.
You believe Roy is the better fighter.
You believe Floyd has the better career.
Reasoning: Floyd chose wise opponents at the right time such as Oscar - as you have claimed. Low risk high reward.
Right.
As opposed to..........Roy choosing opponents such as
_______________.
Fill in the blank for me.....for comparison purposes.
Show me where Roy chose high risk vs low reward.
Only thing I ask is you to be consistent with the criteria. Meaning apply the same reasoning for both Floyd and Roy.
Start with Oscar......then we will move on to some other names.
Give me a Roy Jones fight that trumps Floyd vs Oscar and explain your reasoning.

The state of Nevada is the only state in the union that allows such injections. When Manny requested a similar injection for his bum shoulder leading up to the fight, he was denied.
In addition, let's not forget about the IV injections Floyd had installed in his home, which is universally banned by WADA just hours prior to his match with Manny Pacquiao.
So what was he doing with it? Replenishing all of the vitamins, nutrients and minerals he may have lost while training back into his system or was he using them to rinse, cleanse and flush all of the potential PEDs out of his system? We will never know.
It's a known fact that Floyd has been bending the rules for most of his entire career and had been getting away with it. That is why he never fights outside of the state of Nevada. It appears very unethical to say the least.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Roy Jones Jr is a proven ped cheat and for that reason he'll never be greater than floyd not to mention Roy's resume doesn't stack up against floyd either.
Floyd was a safety first fighter who hardly ever threw any combinations or punches in bunches. He was just too damn defensive and feared for the returned firepower coming back at him; Which made his fights very boring and difficult to watch.
Moreover, in his prime Jones was must watch TV. He took a hell of a lot more risks and chances in the ring than Floyd would ever dream.
