Floyd was a safety first fighter who hardly ever threw any combinations or punches in bunches. He was just too damn defensive and feared for the returned firepower coming back at him; Which made his fights very boring and difficult to watch.

Moreover, in his prime Jones was must watch TV. He took a hell of a lot more risks and chances in the ring than Floyd would ever dream.
Floyd fought in Nevada so whats your point? He didnt cheat if they were legal. I don't care about taking risk in the ring. Floyd fought smart and had the better career because of it meanwhile Roy was getting ko'ed and ****ing up his legacy because he didn't use his fundamental skills to make up for when he lost his athletic ability.

My point is that he fought in the state of Nevada so could he cheat. That's my point. We will never know. Was it legal or was it corruption? That's the dubious distinction. Why have no other prizefighter in the state of Nevada has gotten the same special kind of privileges as Floyd Mayweather,Jr.? Why does he get the The****utic Use Exemption while others fighters don't? For example: The lidocaine injections for every bout.

As far as Roy Jones legacy is concerned; I can grant you that. It's not even debatable. Roy indeed had harmed and tarnished his legacy by fighting too long and well past his prime. It's no a brainer. Perhaps, once he jumped up to the heavyweight division to challenge John Ruiz for his WBA title he should have stayed there, rather than draining his aging body to come back down to the 175 lbs division where he had gotten even weaker. He was never the same fighter after that.
