Two entirely different fighters in two unrelated weight classes. Imagine if GGG fought like Loma. Oscar would try to get him to fight wearing wrist and ankle weights and a blindfold and have the first 4 rounds scored 10-9 for Red Diva before the fight even started.

Triple Gee is not the same cloth as Vassily. Vassily is going to his 3rd class showcasing speed as usual. Even Vassily said he wasn’t impressed with Triple at all. I respect Bummelo since he and Vassily share controversial fights etc. I hate when fans connect Triple G to Loma for reasons unknown. This is when fans just mix them together. We damn well know Loma is a special fighter and deserves his own shadow not related to Kazakistan

GGG didn't cut sht on canelo. he was following him around. thats a big difference. canelo would use the same defensive maneuver to escape the ropes and GGG never adjusted. yes he was aggressive enough to put nelo on the ropes but once there he couldn't land sht because of nelo upper body movement. so GGG aggression was ineffective as fck. canelo was called "cement feet" before the fight. afterwards he was a "runner" lol.. GGG couldn't cut the ring that night and his body work was nonexistent because he feared canelo counters.

That was my take on the fight as well. If GGG cut the ring off as well as people say he did, maybe we're having a different discussion. Hell, he didn't cut the ring off against Jacobs either.

fans judging gave kovalev the victory vs ward. they also gave jacobs the win vs ggg... so not sure how terrible it'll be. once again I'll ask whats the difference between a biased fan and a biased judge? the only other way to avoid all this sht is apply amateur scoring system to the pros. thats it. they say theres 4 criteria judges apply but only one of them matters.. clean punching. what better way to determine whos landing more clean shots than counting them? if u stick with this system theres gonna be more cards just like byrd that cause controversy.

I think the overall fan scorecard was something like 60/40 in favour of GGG vs Jacobs, from what I recall. Close - and with plenty of people seeing it for Jacobs but the KD just giving the edge to Golovkin.

In general though I'm not averse at all to the idea of scoring fights by crowd acclamation... despite all the BS on here about 'casuals' and the suchlike, the average fight fan should - in most cases - be able to tell who 'won' a fight. In fact in a populist sport like boxing I'd even go so far as to say that if the majority of casual enthusiast are coming up with a different result from the self- proclaimed 'experts' of the sport, the problem lies with the experts not with the casuals... maybe the rules (or their interpretation) need changing to be in line with what your average Joe (or Jamall) sees when he watches a fight? Just a thought.

The technology is easily available, but the problems lie (to my mind) not so much with individual bias - we're so wrapped up in our petty feuds and **** on here that we may lose sight of the fact that 'normal' fans are neither ****** nor particularly biased in the main - but with finding a system which is at least partially resistant to wholesale manipulation by the dodgy fuckers who have the greatest financial stakes in the sport.

Triple Gee did not look good. He was throwing a jab every moment just to look busy and many were not connecting while most them were missing or hitting Bummelo’s gloves. I think Triple Gee was paid to fight like this fight so they can make a rematch. Look at how Vassily fights, like a machine, like a Matrix, just combos after combos. It’s impossible to write off Vassil’s comect rate. I can’t find the page but there is performance stats for Vassil’s attack rate and precision. His is the best for a reason.

What would be great is if the mainstream boxing media set up a mutually agreed upon panel of judges to judge live and review the fights. They could then ignore the judges decisions and publish the rightful winners as the newspaper champions. This exsisting incompetence/corruption is ruining boxing. That would probably be acceptable to the ******** establishment that controls boxing because it would give them more ways to make money. For example odds on who wins the conventional fight. Odds on who wins the newspaper fight. Then odds on whether the two agree or disagree and then by how many rounds.
