You have an American WBC champ heavyweight & olympic medalist who looks the part, knocks everybody out in brutal fashion usually. Imagine that in the past?? they would have been a huge name, great opposition or not. Most people who don't really follow boxing just want to see knockouts by a guy who looks the part.
His team and network he fights on really haven't done him justice thus far, so i hope things do start picking up.
Holyfield and Tyson were very smart and charismatic sport personalities. Wilder on the other hand possess as much charisma as toilet water before you flush it and forget any intellect comparison with ones like Mike Tyson.
He's cringe worthy and boxing fans can see it in every interview, he's not the hero American boxing scene wanted, sadly. It's sad he won't understand it himself and makes his case worse demanding respect from fans.

Joshua is the one bringing in the money. He sells out stadiums fighting Takam...

Ortiz is more skilled however and still powerful regardless of how old he might be. Wilder's never tasted power like that so if he gets hit clean, I don't know how he'll react.

Wilder has fought (so far) only Stiverne of any note, it’s about time he took out someone decent and it’s needed for his profile. I really hope he takes the Whyte fight afterwards to give him more credibility before he takes on Joshua.
