it depends on the judges and how they judge. I think there is few way some judge judge:

1. Dominating the round. basic simple
2. Number of punchs/ effective punchs
3. Some would judge if the fight contiuned more than 12 round who would have won

and there is some other factors beyond thw judges hand that nobody really knows about. part of bussines.

IMO Paulie won 4,5 and 9, he could have won round 1. therefore 3 or 4 rounds hence 117-110 or 116-111.

The ref should have warned Paulie about Holding, the holding in the Later rounds was excessive.

He was warned about a low blow in the 3th or 4th, I didn't see that Cotto was giving excessive low blows. The holding on the other hand was excessive. Paulie would hold Cotto's left hand and then hit him with his own left.
