Larry Holmes is deffinately in the top 2 or 3. I don't think (I could be wrong, so don't lynch me) any other HW has held the title longer. He beat Shavers in 78 for the eliminator, 6 months later he beat Norton for the WBC and held it all the way until 85 when he lost to Spinks.

Holmes doesnt make the cut. He was no more the greatest or one of the top heavies than lennox is. Both happened to be champs during dark ages in the division.

So...when was the HW division good. Holmes and Tyson through the 80's and part of the 90's and Lewis the rest of the way. The HW division has ****** since the 70's?
