LOL
He beat Douglas, the rest he would have destroyed in his prime. Those are the words of "Iron" Mike from 1987. Not the old Tyson that got beat his his 30's.
Michael Spinks did not take a dive. He wore kneepads his whole career because he used to do roadwork in army boots and messed his knees up. Even after he heeled, he wore at least one knee pad in the ring....look at the tapes of the Dwight Braxton fight.
Mike hit Spinks with an uppercut followed by a vicious body shot while Michael was along the ropes...Spinks took a knee to get his breath back and collect himself.
After the standing 8 count, Mike and Michael charged..they went towards each other with the intention of landing a big shot...and met in ring center. Spinks started to throw a big right hand; but realized he was out of posistion and pulled it at the last second and turned his head in anticipation of Tyson's punch. Mike connected with his right VERY SOLIDLY on the right side of Spink's head. Spinks fell backwards from the force of the blow, crashing the back of his head against the canvas with such force that his head bounced and hit the canvas again.
I say due to the younger generation, you never have Ali era fans saying Tyson was the greatest, you dont have Marciano era fans saying Ali was the best. So obviously we are going to have the younger generation who were brought up in the era that are going to immortalize him and make him out to be far better than he should be. As I said earlier he was great for that era when we honestly didnt have many big name fighters and thats what people saw and how they come to say he's far better than he really was. I personally like all generations and like a true boxing fan rank based on facts and my own conclussions after seeing the fighters first hand.

When did he beat Douglas? He couldn't even bite him with his mouthpiece in sideways.
