But Holyfield doesn't yap his mouth about being TBE. He doesn't trash other opponents in order to elevate himself. He's a humble guy. Floyd is not. So, when you want to shout into the mic that you are the greatest fighter who ever lived, expect your resume to be scrutinized accordingly. Fair enough?

that's just your personal opinion. Both can come out of retirement and I'd prefer to pay to watch Evander fight instead.

          I think that's fair enough.

I do believe Holyfield has a better legacy than Floyd too in an all-time sense but that's subjective.

Agree. His epic battles with prime Qawi, Bowe and Lewis have earned him that distinction. Holyfield was the antithesis of Mayweather--he sought fights with the toughest prime opponents...ran towards them, not away from them.

Yeah and even though 1996 Tyson wasn't prime no more he gets a ton of credit for being considered washed up and a huge underdog and then to destroy Tyson.

Even the Foreman win stacks up well and probably stands out over just about anything on Mayweather's resume IMO.

He doesn't get enough credit for his wins over Tyson. Everyone talks about how Tyson was past his prime, but he was still a dangerous monster in the division when they fought. Holyfield was 34 at the time and had already been through a grueling trilogy with Bowe. Tyson was on a win streak out of prison, that included a stoppage of Bruno. He was in top form when he met Holyfield but he just got outboxed. Evander opened as a 25-1 underdog when the fight was announced.

You realize that is just a marketing ploy to sell more hats and t shirts.
