Holyfield was the undisputed champion on two different weightclasses, is not his fault that Tyson didn't took Douglas seriously and he did chase Tyson to get the respect and beat him, Evander fought everyone at his weight.

Doesn't take much to rattle you Floyd fans huh? Look that this thread, they are losing their collective minds over a factual statement made by Holyfield. LMAO!

But holyfield's "factual" statement was misleading, because he never unified all four belts either. He just happened to be fighting in the era where you could still claim undisputed without holding the WBO. Unifying 3 belts is much easier than unifying 4.

Those facts don't damage his legacy, especially when given context. It's like posters find something Floyd didn't do and then arbitrarily make that an important factor in measuring status.

If anything the fact prime HOF guys refuse to fight him shows how special he was.

I may not be a big fan of Lennox Lewis but I don't hold it against Lewis that Bowe refused to fight him. I think the same applies to Floyd.
Hamed avoided him? They were never in the same division.

Tszyu avoided him? Huh? I don't recall Floyd ever being serious about wanting a Tszyu fight. Tszyu was often injured after unifying but I'm sure they could have found time to talk about scheduling something in 2004 or early 2005 despite contracted to rival networks. Floyd didn't; he went after Corley and Gatti.

Mosley when he was already a bit washed up, sure. But when both were interviewed in the late 90's before Mosley moved up to 147 he asked Floyd on a HBO telecast (I forgot which fight) are you coming to 135 to face me and Floyd said not yet I'm staying at 130 for now.

Oscar duck Floyd? Well, when were they in the same division? Oscar was fighting welterweights Quartey and Trinidad and then Mosley moved up (after Floyd said he wasn't moving up yet) and fought Oscar. Oscar then went to 154 and up to 160 in 2004. When did he duck Floyd? In 2006? It could be argued Floyd ducked a re-match which he was contractually obligated to but he "retired" and then un-retired once the clause expired.

Pacquaio? That's a beaten dead horse. Floyd fans say Manny ducked. Manny fans say Floyd ducked. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Floyd didn't want it and Arum was glad Floyd didn't but, again a boring, redundant topic.

You sure do forget a lot of facts and have a bizarre memory when its convenient or it fits your agenda.

I'm not saying he avoided those guys but to say they all avoided him is bizarre also. I mean, Tszyu? Hamed never even fought above 126 his whole career.

I get that you think De La Hoya (who was basically always 2 divisions higher until years past his best actually did fight Floyd) avoided him and same with a washed up Mosley, but Tszyu? I'd be intrigued to see how and when Tszyu ducked this match.
