This fight will never be a super huge fight, but it can definitely be bigger than what it is now.
I don't mind if they build it up, I actually expect it, as long as they don't over marinate it.
I think 2019 should be fair game. Hopefullly Loma and Mikey can go on some solid runs in 2018 and the beginning of 2019, so more people can get hyped up for the fight.

Hopefully the other top 130 pounders don't run from Loma. If they do then people have to call them out on it.
I need to see that Berchelt fight. I'm starting to have my doubts that Berchelt would fight him.

I agree. Let’s be realistic here. Neither fighter have that kind of super exciting style nor do they have personalities.

Huge ppv my azz. Years ago a fight of this caliber would be on Boxing after dark.

PPV works if one or both fighters have a big fan base and crossover appeal. As good as Loma and Mikey are, rare is the person or general sports fan who could identify them out of a South Chicago lineup. PPV is perfect for "events" but not so good for fights.

Why doesn't Mikey let Loma worry about whether Mikey is too big for him? Loma wants the fight at 35'...

Well said! PPV is Wilder vs. Joshua! I don't even think Canelo vs. GGG II is PPV-worthy, but it will be just to pay for the fighters! Mikey vs. Loma is a good fight, but like you said, it's not an "event." Wilder vs. Joshua is an "event!" Neither is Spence Jr. vs. Thurman, Thurman vs. Crawford, etc.! PPV should be very rare!

              Loma won't go near Garcia.

Loma wants the fight. Crawford won't go near Spence is what you meant to say? Right, Biotch?

I want to make something clear: Loma is not afraid of Mikey Garcia @ 135! The question is would Arum let Lomachenko fight on Showtime? If Mikey beats Lipinets and Linares, which are his next 2 fights, he will be the A-side. Will Arum "bury the hatchet?" Will he demand stadiums, 50/50, etc.? Who does Lomachenko fight to make him worthy of 50/50? What will Lomachenko's next 2 fights be? ****, what will his next fight be? I thought Bob would let Loma face Beltran for the WBO Lightweight title, but he didn't. Berchelt is not happening anytime soon. Machado is with GBP, and Bob has worked more with Haymon than Oscar! So what does Loma do? He needs Mikey, more than Mikey needs him!

Loma is not about taking chances.

                    He won't go near Garcia.
                    He didn't even rematch Salido.

Loma didn't want to fight Rigo at a catchweight when he was at 126.

Only when he was at 130 and all risks removed did he take that fight.

Dude is not about taking risks.

If Loma vs Garcia doesn't happen, it is on Arum. The same as if Crawford vs Spence doesn't happen. All four of those guys will fight anyone, and those two fights in my eyes are huge PPV fights if they happen, and promoted properly.
