Luis Ortiz Laughs at Joshua: Where is Your Pride To Fight The Best?
By Ryan Burton
Yesterday in an article on BoxingScene.com, WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua said that he has no problems facing his WBA mandatory Luis Ortiz - but only after he faces his IBF mandatory Kubrat Pulev.
Ortiz's team has been pushing for the fight against Joshua, insisting that the WBA guaranteed them that they were next after stepping aside to allow Wladimir Klitschko to face Anthony Joshua in April.

Sorry mate, AJ didn't want that work!Comment

Joshua had two mandatories ordered. Is he supposed to fight both at the same time? Ortiz was next. Ortiz chose to fight Wilder and effectively vacate his mandatory.August 18, 2017:

Finkel is one of yesterday's men. That's why AJ makes more money in one fight than Wilder has made in his entire career, despite having had less fights and winning his first world title a year and a half after Wilder became WBC champion.Comment

Ahhh yes, AJ makes more money because Finkel is a terrible manager. AJ doesn't make more money because he was a gold medalist. AJ doesn't make more money because boxing is so much more popular in his home country. He makes more money because Shelly Finkel is incompetent.
Got any other gems for us?Comment

Ortiz already granted AJ a step-aside to fight Klitshco, he was supposed to be next! AJ chose Pulev over Ortiz = FACTS! That some BS! You're reaching hard now!Comment

You do know wilder made 4+ million for the Povetkin which was a purse bid... so the guy you’re arguing with is right.. his point is wilder makes more from purse bid in Whyte fight, that’s it and when you look at the Povetkin situation again, the guys you’re arguing with are right.. jus sayinComment

The IBF is more strict and willing to strip fighters. Both the WBA and IBF ordered fights. Joshua contacted both and worked it out. IBF first and then WBA. Ortiz walked away from a guaranteed fight. FACTComment
